  1. Amenities are: Free Internet Fitness Center Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower Recommended by 85% 4 out of 5 Tripadvisor reviews I called the Doubletree Mag Mile and don't offer free internet so that's eliminated.... The website for the Club Quarters states that internet is free so that's a possibility....Also, on Tripadvisor.com, Club Quarters has a 4 out of 5 for reviews... My best guess would be the Club Quarters.... The Hotel 71 could also be a possibility but the amenities don't completely match up. i.e. the Hotel 71 is a "Boutique" which is not an amenity listed for this $65 offer. Also, the Hotel 71 is a 4.5 out of 5 for Tripadvisor reviews. Any other thoughts?
  2. started bidding at $120 and moved up in $5 increments..... As soon as I got to $150, it told me that if I raised my bid to $190, I could try again immediately. I knew not to do this so I continued at $5 increments until success at $170! I was expecting for $180 to be the magic number based on other peoples past bids so I am pleasantly surprised! Rate on Marriott.com is over $300+!
  3. Amenities were: Boutique Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) High-Speed Internet Access Price was $200 on the hotel's website so a savings of approx. 33%
  4. thanks for checking... i should mention that i was trying for 3 rooms and the rate was $174... if you just need one room, they display the price as $160
  5. Area: Downtown/Harbor Island Amenities: Boutique, Fitness, Restaurants, Business, Laundry, High Speed Internet, Spa Services I did not see any boutiques in the hotel list for this zone and a 3 1/2*
  6. failed at $83...used free rebid at $85 but failed.... success at $90 with free rebid... Price on Westin.com is US$319!!
  7. Hi - sorry it took me so long to reply to your question. I got this hotel about 1 month before I arrived in Aruba.
  8. Started bid at $65... bid unsuccessfully at $70, $75, $80, $85, $90.... then finally got it at $92.... I was hoping for the Hyatt Embarcadero but the Omni actually has much better reviews so I'm happy!
  9. started bidding for 4* LAX at $50. Was given the message that if I raised my bid to $65, I could try again immediately. Ignored this message....failed at $52, $54, & $55... finally accepted at $56
  10. got the Hilton for $67 on the first try based on past bids... used the PRICELINE link on betterbidding.com
  11. Started bidding for a 4* in the SFO-Burlingame zone.. Started at $55 and bid all the way to $85 with my free rebids.... I also tried 3 1/2* up to $85 Lowered to a 3* and started at $52.... failed at $55, $65... and at $70, it stated that if I raised my bid to $90, I could immediately try again. Being the educated Priceliner that I am, I ignored this and raised bid to $75 with success. I knew I would get this mediocre hotel but happy at the $75 price since it's $114.50/night on the hotel's website and also is on HOTWIRE for $94
  12. I gave in and bid $75 for a 3* in the SFO Burlingame zone and got the Crowne Plaza. I actually needed to be in a specific area of Burlingame and this hotel is exactly where I wanted to be so I'm OK with it. I will just bring my ear plugs! I will post a new topic with my win.
  13. I ended up staying at the Marriott Residence Inn for $134/night at the AAA rate. A little bummed that Priceline/Hotwire didn't work on this trip but the Residence Inn was outstanding and perfect for our stay with 3 people so it ended up not being a problem.
  14. I do not see a 4* SFO-Burlingame on Hotwire for $86 for check-in date 10/18, check-out 10/20.... Does your computer show a 4* for $86 on Hotwire?
  15. I have bid all the way up to $85/night for a 3 1/2* & 4* for SFO-Burlingame with no luck.... I went onto LastMinuteTravel and found that the 3 1/2* Doubletree is "Available" (not on request) for $95... this will be my back up.... but everyone has been getting 4* SFO-Burlingame hotels in the $60 range... I also checked Hotwire and they do not have the Hotwire hot Rate available for a 4*. They have the 3 1/2* for $94 but I've concluded it's the Crowne Plaza and is not a good value. QUESTION: Is it possible that the hotels wait til it gets closer to October 18th or drop their prices or am I better off just taking the deal I found on LastMinuteTravel? Thank you!!
  16. started at $53... used free rebids and failed at $55, $57, $58... finally got it at $60. Used the PRICELINE link on the Betterbidding.com homepage.
  17. failed at $50 but was told if I raise bid to $65 I could try again.... instead, added Lawndale as my free rebid and raised to $55 and got it!
  18. My friend just got the Hotel Minneapolis Autograph Collection (3* Downtown hotel) for $75.... for 9/18-9/20.... I'm trying to see if I can be lucky enough to get it 9/17-9/19.... sorry, my topic says "Help with October 17-19 bid" but it should read "Help with September 17-19 bid" My question is, how often does Priceline "upgrade" you from a 3* to a 3 1/2*?.... I do not want the Millennium hotel (3 1/2*) because it has received such terrible reviews
  19. I just want to confirm the hotel you received is the Doubletree Guest Suites Minneapolis OR is it the The Hotel Minneapolis, Autograph Collection? The "Hotel Minneapolis" USED to be a Doubletree. They changed names in May 2010. my friend just got the The Hotel Minneapolis, Autograph Collection for $75 but i *THINK* it is located in the "University - Metrodome" Priceline zone so I'm just confirming which hotel you received? If you received the "Hotel Minneapolis", did you select the Downtown zone or was it the "University - Metrodome" zone. On the map, it appears this hotel belongs in the hotel zone but I'm not 100% sure because my friend selected BOTH the Downtown zone & the University - Metrodome zone in her bid so I'm trying to figure out which zone it's actually in. Maybe one of the moderator's can help?
  20. There is an underground parking lot immediately across the street in Pershing Square and I think it's something like $12 for overnight parking. I always park there when I stay at the Biltmore. MUCH cheaper than $40/night!
  21. you gave me a good idea. If worse comes to worse, that's what I'll do.
  22. I'm considering either a 4 day or 5 day rental in Jackson, WY. The per day prices for the 4-day are way less than a 5-day. For example: Hotwire hot Rates: 4day: $31.95/day 5day: $51.95/day Priceline Name Your Price: 4day: Good Chance $26, Great Chance $27 5day: Good Chance $36, Great Chance $38 I tried June 9-14 for the 5day and June 10-14 for the 4day. I also tried June 10-15 for the 5day and it was still way more per day than a 4 day. Anyone ever have this problem? I'm hoping prices will come down
  23. got it on the first try. Cheapest price directly w/ hotel is $189
