  1. Another check of the La Costa website and they have dropped the price to $319 a night. Hotwire is still showing $416. So, basically if I went this route I would buy they hotel and Hotwire would refund me $194 a night??? Am I understanding this DD thing correctly??? Thanks, Amanda
  2. I am actually going down to watch the Acura Classic Tennis Tournament at the La Costa Resort, so I was surprised to see it come up. I went to the La Costa Site yesterday and a room for my dates is actuallu 317 (1st 2 night ) 375 (2nd 2 nights) so..... a $347 Average.... si the price would be even lower.... But, no I don't really want to spend that kind of money a night. Am looking for other good options around that area. Thanks for you help and I will use your links when I buy my hotel room. amanda

  4. I just did a search on Hotwire for : 7/30-8/3 Carlsbad area and got the following result: Resort Swimming Fitness Spa Tennis Gold Business Center High Speed Internet For $416 Everyone thinking it is La Costa??? If so, it is listed at $380 everywhere else. How does the double the difference work?? :) I have read all about but still don't really understand!!! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks, Amanda
  5. On the first bid I offered $119 got a counter offer of $22 which I declined. I then rebid, adding indio at $121 and was accepted. It had the add an extra night feature which I didn't use b/c I had already booked 3/11-12 a month ago. I was happy to get this as it is the pacific Life Open this weekend and I thought it would be MUCH HARDER!!!! Yeah!!! Thanks again for all the great advise on this site!!! Amanda
  6. Back to the Monaco. I booked these rooms for someone I work with. The lowest price I could find on line was $175. So I saved him $180 a night!!! Same ammenities as usual..... Thanks for all the great information as usual!!!!
  7. I was staying here on business and decided to extend my stay so I didn't try to bid for these dates on PL. I had been price checking the hotel on hotwire for the last week and it came up from $120-134. Then last night I check again and it had dropped to $114. So I snatched it up!!!! I called down to the front desk today, the guy rechecked me in and said i could keep the same room. (which is great as I had been upgraded to a suite!!) YEAH!!! $114 for a suite now that's a deal!!!!! Hotel Monaco Seattle Downtown 4.5* Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Business July 2-5,2004
