Wanted a 4* hotel in Central Park South (CPS) or Midtown West (MW). Started at $120 for CPS and increased by $10, then $5 increments with free rebids. Then the same for MW. Then, combined CPS and MW and continued further up. Had to wait 24 hours to continue etc. Today, I finally saw success: the Le Parker Meridien is a hotel I had looked at before and I'm really looking forward to it! Lowest non-refundable prepaid rate on the LeMeridien website today was $391.

Was looking for 3 rooms at a hotel at the airport for my friends. Used the PRICELINE link and started at $50 in $5 increments. At $65 I received a counter offer to increase by $17. Logged off an switched to smaller increments. With the next bid of $67 I received a counter offer to increase by $17 yet again. Logged off again and then at $72 the bid for 3 rooms got accepted.
