bought a room off of Expedia at sir frances drake for 106 cad/night $25 charge to cancel, so i will continue bidding for 4* up until travel date, but probably won't bid over 95/night

So I've set my dates for Aug 22-26 and I bid up to 105 for 4* with no luck I checked lowest Omni room rates for that date is 189/night

Great thanks! I'll keep trying every couple days for now. I'm hoping other people start posting the prices they get within August so I have a better idea. I tried looking back to last August and there were some pretty reasonable deals for under $100 for 4* hotels, maybe I'll just wait out for now.

I just tried Aug 27-31 because Le Meridien's site lists those days as cheaper....I bid up to $100 with no luck yet I also tried the 28-Sep 1 as well I couldn't do 13-17 because it has to be after the 18th, but it looks like i might have to pay above a hundred :)

I bid 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 yesterday and got rejected =( My dates are pretty flexible in late August so I changed that as well to get more bids...do you think rates will lower spontaneously and my bid get accepted eventually?

I would like to travel preferably Aug 19-23 but I'm not sure what rack rates are??
