Put in bid for 2 rooms in Tempe, AZ and Phoenix, AZ Airport area for $45 and it was taken on first try.

It took 4 tries! I only wanted the Disneyland area so had to go back every day for another bid. Started at $46 and ended up with $65. Disappointed that there is a mandatory resort fee, but I guess that will allow us to use the shuttle to Disneyland.

First try for airport area. Probably could have gone lower, but wanted to guarantee this area. This hotel is under construction until 10/31/08 as well.

I booked this a couple of weeks ago (sorry, I didn't post this sooner). I didn't want to take the chance of getting a hotel in another area so tried $200 (which is about 1/2 of what a room would be for one night here). I have had friends stay here and it is great. It is right on the corner of Hyde Park in the Mayfair/Soho Area.

I really needed to stay in the downtown San Jose area so didn't want to play around too much with pricing. I used PRICELINE and only put in the $80 bid for the downtown San Jose area and won the Doubletree Hotel San Jose. On their website, the cheapest room for the same night is $170.00 and Expedia is $171.00. Not too shabby.

Thanks for the tip! I already called them with the request, but I will definitely sign up for their select guest program and add the number. It could only help. They were currently sold out of rooms with double beds, but they seemed hopeful. Thanks!
