  1. Looking at the hotel lists for the 4* resorts south airport in Reno.

I am wanting to know if theres is anyway to try to get the Summit Grand Sierra?

It looks as if I try to bid on a 4*(Priceline) with hopes of this resort that I may end up with

something else? If this cannot be a guarantee resort then can I bid on 3.5 * and then call

the hotel if I get it to upgrade or is this not allowed?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Started watching this a couple of weeks ago and I think this was the 4* on HOTWIRE for $65. I bid $45 on Priceline and was countered with $56 and decided to bite. I wanted this property, but did think I would get Atlantis. I didn't see any Summit at Grand Sierra wins, but as you can see it will come up in the PRICELINE inventory.

I did use PRICELINE link at the top of the page, and would like to mention I'm 2 for 2 there.

Thanks for being such a great resource.

Did you bid on this as a 4* or a 3.5* on Priceline?

    Thankyou

  3. I also tried for July 8 and ended up with Red Lion at $133 (total for 2 rooms). Everything else seemed sold out. When I looked at the 2.5* it was the same problem as you're facing, sold out. Either that or the hotels (residence inn) have made changes with price-line. Strange but when I looked for availability for 2 nights it seemed available but for only one night it didn't show availability.

  4. Well, I tried again and got what I didn't want :) Yes, I used the PRICELINE link here. Got the red lion conv. center $55. Wanted either the fairfield residence or doubletree (wanted the pools for the kids). Now got nothing here!! When I went to the red lion, I thought it was a picture of the outdoor pool lit up, but it was a lit up parking lot. What a drag---in July.

  5. I have been bidding for sometime on a couple of hotels in the Portland area, one I have used a couple times, but now it seems that I am really having to increase my bid for it and it is still not taking. Three thoughts; 1. Is it possible that because it is summer that the price usually increases? 2. Because I only want one night and not two is this another possibility of rejected bids? 3. Can anyone tell me if they have tested to see if it is easier to obtain a bid by myself booking one night and allowing my guest to try to book their own as I am looking for 1 night (2 rooms)? One other comment, I noticed when looking up the hotel on priceline home page and putting in my date(1 night) that

it doesn't show up, but when I switch it to two nights it appears on the home page. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thankyou
