  1. Hello, Any thoughts on IDing a 3* hotel in Half Moon Bay for $135 which offers breakfast and high-speed Internet access? Thank you! :)
  2. For $129, I purchased a room at the Holiday Inn Express at Fisherman's Wharf SF for 7/12-7/13. Unfortunately for me it the rate has been reduced to $119 for the night, but at least I didn't have to pay over the going rate for that room which is $191-210+ being offered on other websites including Holiday Inn's. :) The amenities are as follows: Complementary breakfast Fitness center Business center
  3. I am trying to identify a 2* hotel in Fisherman's Wharf that is not on the Hotwire list. Can someone help out? Thanks :)
  4. Hello, can someone please help identify a 3* hotel in Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco? I would be checking in on 7/12 for one night and paying $136 on Hotwire. Any thoughts?? Here are the amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Property Business Center Laundry Facilities Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, ~~Dona
  5. The hotel in Alexandria-Old Town is most likely the Courtyard Marriott. Very nice property with clean rooms and great staff. I am almost positive this is the place. The shuttle drops off and picks up at the Metro in a very timely fashion too. The hotel is less than one year old; was formerly a Sheraton. I bid on Priceline for this hotel and paid $46 per night - great buy!
  6. 3* Coral Gables Hotel at $59 per night 2051 LeJeune Rd. Miami, Florida 33134 (305) 443-2301 CheckInDate:Fri, Jan 5, 2007 CheckOutDate:Sun, Jan 7, 2007 Amenities: Restaurant Pool (But I didn't see one when we were there) Fitness Center Laundry Facilities This hotel was very basic. The air conditioner was exceptionally loud. The property used to be a Holiday Inn. They do offer shuttle service and did not charge for parking. The property has a nice bathroom sink, and a nice desk/console...but that is about it. For a cheap night's stay in Miami and located 15 minutes from the airport, this hotel will suffice. I would give this property 2* - and definitely NOT 3!
  7. When I saw this request, it reminded me of my situation and I felt compelled to respond. :) I traveled with my 12 year old son this past November alone to Washington D.C. I am a mom, and wanted to take only him as he is studying the US Constitution this year. We stayed at a Marriott Courtyard that was given a Priceline rating of 2.5* in Alexandria, Va. I paid $46 and it was the best hotel for us! We had to rent a car and paid $15 for a midsize car on Hotwire. The hotel was extremely clean and recently renovated. I was a little leery of some of the ratings I saw in the past on this particular hotel, but since Marriott took over, they really turned this hotel (which used to be a Sheraton) to a complete 180 degree turnaround. I would rate this hotel a 3* as it was very nice, clean, and had complimentary in-room Internet. I am a very choosy person when it comes to hotels and was pleasantly surprised. I felt safe in this hotel. I wouldn't walk at night, but the garage was secure and staff was friendly and helpful. We took the Metro one day and had the hotel shuttle take us on a complimentary ride to and from the station. I didn't even wait to be picked up. Plus the Pentagon City Metro station has a big mall to wait in a very safe area just in case the shuttle takes a while to get back to pick you up. Here is the info for the Priceline Courtyard By Marriott Alexandria Pentagon South Let me know if you need any more assistance. Best of luck to you!
  8. I went to the hotel's web site and found there is a $10 fee for parking after all :) Oh, well...$46 + $10 = $56 is still a bargain for Alexandria. The Courtyard information is provided as follows: Courtyard By Marriott Alexandria Pentagon South Check-In Date: Thursday, November 2, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sunday, November 5, 2006 Alexandria - Old Town Area 4641 Kenmore Avenue Alexandria, Virginia 22304 703-751-4510 See Hotel Website View Map and Directions
  9. I bid $46 and was unsuccessful for a 3* in Alexandria and Arlington...then added 2.5* and Crystal City and was accepted in Alexandria after all at a Marriott Courtyard (kept my bid at $46). I think this is an excellent price considering it is normally $109 per night. Free parking too! Also free shuttle to the airport and Metro. I understand it may be under construction from the feedback given in April on Travelocity"]Travelocity. I'll keep you informed...
  10. Please help to identify this 3* Alexandria Old Town hotel for November 2-5 2006. Amenities include a fitness center, pool, restaurant, and business center for $67. This establishment is also a customer favorite. ALSO...is there a fee for parking??? How do I know before I bid? Thanks so much, Dona
  11. Hello, I just booked a 3* room for 9/14/2006 - 9/16/2006 at the Downtown Minneapolis, MN Embassy Suites for $91. This is exactly what I was hoping for as we really like the evening reception and breakfast! Amenities include: Suites * Complementary breakfast * Fitness center * Pool(s) * Restaurant(s) * Laundry facilities * High-speed Internet access * Kitchenette I did find through the Embassy Suites Web site that parking is $16 per night. I also believe they charge for wireless Internet.
  12. Hello, I'm looking for a hotel in Jacksonville for the best price off I-95. - Hotwire offers SE Jacksonville 2.5* suite w/pool, gym, cont. b-fast, kitchenette, and business ctr. for $33 Any idea which hotel this is and what priceline could do? Thank you!
  13. We just stayed at the Tremont Hotel which is a 3* Hotel in Chicago right off of Michigan Ave. by the Water Tower. We payed $59. The hotel is quaint and a historically old hotel but very nice for the $$ considering the cost is half of what other area hotels have to offer in rates. The location is ideal. It is attached to Ditka's Restaurant. The rooms are clean, very small, only 1 elevator in the hotel (it was out of order so we had to use the service elevator). Front desk personnel could not have been friendlier. They were very nice and helpful. For the $$ and if you do not expect all the frills, I recommend the Tremont.
  14. Thank you for returning my e-mail. I would certainly use Priceline or whatever gets me the best savings in Tampa. In Downtown Tampa, there is a Hotwire 3* Hotel with a restaurant, pool and fitness center for $58. Also Downtown, a 2 1/2* for $70 that offers restaurant, pool, fitness center and laundry facilities. There is a Westshore TPA Airport 3*hotel for $58/night that offers a pool and fitness center. Again on the Westshore, a 4* hotel for $100/night that offers airport shuttle, restaurant, pool, fitness center, business center, and tennis nearby. A 3* Westshore for $55 offering a pool and fitness center. And lastly, a 2* offering a pool, fitness center, comp. breakfast, kitchenette, and laundry facilities. Again, thank you very much for your help. If you have an idea what Priceline can do, please let me know! Have a great day! --Dona
  15. I'm looking for a hotel in Tampa, FL that is near the port (preferrably downtown). I would be staying one night post-cruise and need to be at the Greyhound bus terminal the following morning (which is located on Polk St. downtown). I looked at Hotwire and they are offering a couple downtown locations. One is a 3 star hotel for $58/night. Any helpful hints on which ones they are? Thank you...I'm so glad this site exists!
