  1. Thanks. How about the $128 in Palm Springs? Do you think it is the Hard Rock - because the resort fees are low.
  2. Sorry to keep asking, but someone recommended Rancho Mirage to avoid lots of parties, frat stuff etc... So, how about 4 star, $160 a night FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower

BTW, I am looking for something on the quiet side, are there good 3.5 star hotels that might be better suited? Thanks, Deborah
  4. I have two different 4 star Palm Springs hotels for the weekend of Jan 15-18 4 stars palm springs boutique 4 star on trip advisor 500-1000 Free Internet. Free parking, resort, boutique hotel Golf nearby, business center, airport shuttle, restaurant (s) fitness center, pet-friendly and pool usd 25 resort fee Palm Springs area hotel 3.5 trip advisor 500-1000 Free Internet, business center, boutique hotel, golf nearby fitness center, pet-friendly and pool, self service laundry usd 16 resort fee Also, what are taxes and fees in Palm Springs? I assume the hotwire listed price doesn't include these. Also, how much, about, does Hotwire charge? Thanks in advance, Deborah
  5. Thanks - I booked it through your HOTWIRE link, of course! Is it my imagination, or has the Hotwire service fees gotten higher? For $594 for rooms, another $156 was charged. I think taxes would be more like $85, so $71 of hotwire fees??
  6. i did use your page. it is for october 1. here is the list FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access
  7. Thanks for the help, my dh's business ended up putting us up in a hotel.
  8. I don't see any 4.5 star hotels in your hotel list for palo alto. Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access Could this be the garden court?
  9. Looking at late July in Bermuda. 4.5 stars for $389 with the following amenities: Indoor pool(s), Accessible for the blind, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom Nothing is mentioned about beach location. Any advice?
  10. Hip hip hooray! Started out bidding at $110 (yes, I was hopeful) and inched up in $5 increments over 2 days (used the rebidding techniques) to $130. At the same time, Hotwire's prices of five star north strip hotels went down from $165 to $143. In any case, I saved $120 versus hotwire and saved $600 versus a sale on the hotel website. Thanks for guiding me through this! Used your PRICELINE links all the way through.
  11. Great advice - I was thinking $120 - so thanks for that confirmation. I need to firm up one more detail this weekend, and will then (going through this site) start bidding, perhaps @ $110. If I do that, and I get my bid, should I report here or on the nevada priceline forum?
  12. Yes, I will be more than happy with any of the north strip 5 stars. Just wondering - is it too early to use PRICELINE for late May? It seems like most people are bidding for earlier months. When I give a priceline bid - does that include what I will pay in taxes? I know it doesn't include resort fees. Thanks again.
  13. Thanks for the info. I am waffling now....I have never used Priceline - but it looks like if I go with the North Strip, 5 star that I can't lose, between the Palazzo, Wynn or Venetian. Also, it looks like the prices are cheaper than on Hotwire. I have never done Priceline, but have been reading your advice. A question? Some people get the Wyn for $85 - some people pay up to $120 for the Palazzo. How do I know where to start? There's only one booking on the calendar for May. Should I wait another month before doing this? Also, I've been at the Wynn, so my preference is the other two (though, any of the three are great), is there any way to increase my chances of getting the Palazzo or Venetian? Thanks as always for all of your help!
  14. I am looking at 5 star north and south strip from 5/25-6/1. Found the following for the north: $165 @ day; $20@ resort fee; 4 out of 5 on tripadvisor, no amenities listed??? Another five star listing for $167; 95% recommended and bed choice, but it always disappears when I click on it. For south strip: $115 @ night; $30 resort fee; 4.5 out of 5 tripadvisor; 90% recommend; Free parking, free internet; suite; smoke-free rooms;fitness center; pool;restaurant;high speed internet access; golf nearby; spa services; Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower I thought this might be the 4 seasons, but don't they have a $25 resort fee?? and also south strip $124 @ night; $25 resort fee; 4 out of 5 on tripadvisor; 90% recommend; resort, free parking; casino; fitness center; pools; restaurant;business center; high speed internet access;golf nearby; spa services; Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom handicapped parking; roll-in shower IS this the Aria?? Or the cosmo, which I don't want Thanks, I'm looking to book very soon.
  15. These were the amenities listed: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Free Internet Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower
  16. Whoopsy, Did you find out what hotel this is? I am looking at the same one! Deborah
  17. Got a five star hotel for only $180!! Went on their website - rooms for $310, with a package - for $265 a night. Also, went on Expedia but it said that the Nines was booked for my date. So - thank you better bidding!
  18. Thanks so much for your help - just found out that that trip is cancelled! So looking for somewhere else. Deborah
  19. Leaving either 3/31 or 4/1 and checking out on 4/5 - we have some flexibility - could leave on 4/6, Thanks
  20. My daughter and I are considering staying in Chicago over spring break - first week of April. We are hoping for a pool and/or spa, looking in the Miracle Mile or Loop area. There wasn't much on HOTWIRE with a pool, just one in the loop for 4 * at $75 a night. Which hotel could this be? Should I wait unitl closer to the visit?
  21. Stayed with my daughter in the Hilton Metropole in Edgware area in London and loved it. Obviously, the main reason to pick it is the price, we got a great deal on Hotwire - about $130. But the room was nicer than I expected, with an ok view and a nice bathroom. The staff was great. It is not a touristy area but with 3 tube lines within 2 blocks away, a late night pharmacy across the street, along with a Marks and Spence, Paddington Station 5 blocks and the 15 bus next door - it was incredibly incredibly convenient. The 15 bus is a doubledecker and goes to most tourist areas. The nabe is very safe and has reasonable grocery stores and breakfast places - don't eat at the Hilton. We ate breakfast at some of the Arabic places - really fresh. Also, had fantastic Persian at Patogh - which was only 4 blocks away and is considered one of the best of the cheap Middle Eastern restaurants. My daughter really enjoyed the pool and the steam room - I thought it was a bit small. I would recommend it as a pleasant convenient bargain stay.
  22. Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Centre Dates of stay: August 23-August 27th 2008. Also, I used the HOTWIRE link from this website. Deborah
  23. Yesterday, I reserved via HOTWIRE at Metropole Hilton in London (Marble Arch) for $134 a night - reservation for last week of August, which has been an expensive time. This is almost half the price listed on Expedia. Thanks to this site for all the help!
