For two adults, it would have been $17 cheaper... this may be one of their Suite Rooms, maybe not. When you request for 4 adults, it jumps to around $90 (pre-tax). So with tax and misc fees, it's about $80 (out-the-door). We've stayed here once before, and the breakfast is quite nice. Open parking. I used your HOTWIRE link prior to committing to the pre-pay reservation.

I was reluctant to bite on this one as no one had posted it before. 2.5-star hotel in Otay Mesa $49, with tax: $62.59 This hotel features the following amenities: Suite Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access (Free at this facility) --- After doing some looking, figured it was either this place or the Holiday Inn Suites. I should add that some travel sites have this hotel listed in "Otay Valley". Some also have this hotel listed as a 2.5*, but Hotwire specifically states 3*. Sam

Turns out the Hilton wasn't all that bad. Aside from a desklamp that didn't work, the stay was quite nice. Being off the Strip offered a quieter stay (better for traffic as well). If any of you get this hotel, and use the free parking, ask for a room on the North Tower, as it is slightly closer to the "Self Parking" area. My only other gripe is that Internet wasn't free, it's roughly a $20/day charge. I didn't bite, just did without. After staying there, I would say 3.5* is pretty accurate... but every other website/travel agency has it Hotel as a 3*. As for the Planet Hollywood thing, it turned out the Miss America Pageant was being held there that weekend... so it was highly unlikely anyone would get that through Priceline for that time period. A bit disappointed, but I figured the information would contribute to the BB Board. Just checked the rates via AAA, it goes for $55 there. So, not quite the discount. So if anyone does want this hotel for this time period, AAA is probably better as you can still cancel last minute if you get something 4* and above. Hope the info helps. AAA has the hotel listed as 3 stars, and Priceline has it at 3.5 stars.

Was actually trying to get the Planet Hollywood Deal for $50, but never hit the strike price. I first did 4* for Strip South, for $50, then added Strip North for $51. Logged out, logged back in again. Did 4* for Strip South again for $51 then added West of Strip Didn't work. Added Strip North to those two for $52, didn't bite. They continually counter-offered for $76, but I didn't bite. --- Logged out again. I looked around Better Bidding for other deals, saw some folks had gotten deals at the Marriott on the Convention Center - UNLV Side. Went and did Strip South and added the CC-UNLV for $51. I didn't see any other hotels in that region for 3.5*. I got an immediate bite for $51 for the 3.5* Hilton, which isn't on the Better Bidding Las Vegas Listing: Las Vegas Hotel List So, I guess it's a new one? Or at least one that hasn't been reported? I was really hoping for Planet Hollywood, but we'll see how we like it at the Hilton. Regular prices for the check-in date are around $129.95 up to $149.95 (depending on the view). Thanks to everyone for this Priceline La Jolla post. After seeing it, I went and tried for the same week. I got the same strike price of $60 (I had bid in $1 increments and had included the Del Mar 3* Region), with hotel taxes, comes to $75.24 out-the-door. I'm only staying one night though from the 29th to the 30th. So feel free to add mine to the "Bidding Map". I also used the PRICELINE link from this forum. Thanks again to beek1720 for starting the thread. Sam I should add that this facility charges $18 for parking, daily.

I followed the recipe someone else had used for this same area for the month prior. He started with 3* at 55, and worked his way up to $65 before switching to 2.5*.
