  1. Stayed there in November 2004. Didnt go through PL as we wanted a hotel that we could leave our car for free while we were flying out on holidays. The Lobby was great, check in a breeze, lounge was very nice for some appies and a few drinks. The room was adequate, nothing fancy, clean which is what I really care about, could do with some upgrading. I know if you have kids as the waterslide is a hit. Overall it is central to the airport, Richmond and close to Vancouver. For the money you are paying, it is a deal. I think you will be satisfied!!

  3. Peridot Check out : Priceline/hotwire Hotel Lists - New Jersery (this same site) for information re : PATH (which is right outside your door at the Hyatt) and restaurant tips etc.
  4. Worked like a dream... thanks so much !!!! Booked Beekman for $119.00 for the 3 nights and won Hyatt Regency in Jersey City for $48.00 for the last 2 nights !!!
  5. Ok, it sounds great.... I am just confused on the dates... we will be there a total of 5 nights from March 29 to April 3. Whatever you think I will go with, 2 nights in Jersey and 3 in New York or visa versa ! Thanks!
  6. Yes, just once, since we are only going to be there 5 days.....
  7. Yes I think I am going to need help ! I have bid 50, 60 and 66 with no luck. I researched on Hotwire their rates, and found that the 29 and 30th are way higher than the rest of the week. We are going to be there March 29 to April 3, hopefully in Jersey City and we dont mind a strategy using a split bid. Thanks!
  8. Yes I do thank you, after reviewing many posts I think I will try for Jersey City instead of New York. I understand I can only bid once, as there aren't any rebid zones. I will post my bid once completed. Thank you again for all your help and suggestions !
  9. geez i thought i was university educated... ...but you have me confused with ??? LOL I just do not understand what constraint? I understand that NYC is probably out of my $$$. So how about if I only concentrate on Jersey City..... I finally booked our flights and they are into Newark. I still love you thereuare !
  10. Yes if I had to we could change hotels.... why is it a tough time... is it spring break in the U.S.?
  11. Thank you for all your advice !! We will be there March 30th to April 3.
  12. My husband and I have never been to New York, and I want to go in April for my 50th birthday. I have used Priceline and with the incredible help from thereuare I have booked hotels in Vancouver, B.C. Los Angeles and Miami with great results. I am just a little intimidated with booking a hotel in New York.... I dont know the areas obviously and not knowing which areas are safe to book and being Canadian, every penny counts and I have been reading about Hotels in Jersey City... but that may not be worth it as we would obviously be spending our days and nights in New York. We are wanting to be there for 5 days. To be honest we do not want to spend anymore than $100.00 U.S. not before taxes a night. Can you help ? Thank you so much and I love this board !!
  13. First bid $60, Priceline came back with $75, second bid $66 and got it !! On Expedia and Travelocity prices for the Hyatt are $224 and $239, what a saving. Went through Savingsbarn.
  14. I would like to confirm the re-bid zones. Thank you !! I will definitely let you know how it turns out.
  15. It doesnt matter if it is the Radisson, we are mainly interested in the zone and 3*. I would really appreciate your strategy. Thanks in advance.
  16. Thank you for your response and your bidding help!! We are wanting to stay October 1 to October 3, 2004
  17. I am wanting to book on Priceline the Radisson in Buena Park - 3* Priceline has areas that aren't included in your Orange County areas. eg. Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove and Seal Beach. I found info on "the other board" that does include these areas and they are showing they do not have any 3* hotels ( in these above areas). I would like to use these areas when I re-bid, should I trust the other boards *'s. I trust this site on your opinion. Thank you !!!
