I started bidding last Friday with low ball offers for 4* in the Copley Square and Quincy Market zones and was unsuccessful up to $125 so I gave up and opted for a 3*. I figure that since HOTWIRE had a hotel for $139 (and earlier at $109), I could do better than that on PRICELINE. Of course I used the PRICELINE links from this site to start my searches. So I finally succeeded in securing my hotel. Here is the bidding history. All have 3* selected. Rejected offers unless otherwise specified. 1. Copley Square - Theatre District, $50 2. +Brighton - Brookline, $55 3. +Medford - Somerville, $60 4. Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial District, $50 5. +BB, $55 6. +MS, $60 7.
