  1. I know on Orbitz you have a chance to enter your PC # before you enter your credit card, I would assume Expedia's format is similar.
  2. This is a monster 1,000 room hotel (the biggest in the city by over 600 rooms) that was until last week going to be sold to Marriott. Marriott backed out because they wanted some 7 figure tax incentives from the city of Jacksonville. The City declined since they gave $22,000,000 in incentives to help build the Adams Mark. Adams Mark's bottom line must be hurting with a hotel running 40% occupany if they are lucky. Yes, they have the Super Bowl but that's once every ten years.
  3. This is a former Holiday Inn located just off the exit from I-4. LQ did a nice job renovating it. All interior corridors. Too bad they couldn't renovate the neighboorhood. I made this same mistake a few months ago but called Priceline and told them I bid the wrong zone and they refunded it no ?'s asked. I know this one is for tonight and it's a holiday at PL CS but it might be worth a try.
  4. I looked there first but no "zone description". My printout shows exactly what I copied and pasted except for the guest names, etc.
  5. The Marriott while in Lake Mary is off exit 101 which is the Sanford exit. I know the Comfort Inn and Springhill Suites on the east side of the exit are in Sanford and participate with priceline. Marriott is west of 1-4. It seems this is as simple as PL has the Marriott in the Sanford zone. The other hotels in the Lake Mary zone are off exit 98 (Candlewood Suites 2*, La Quinta 2* and the Homestead Studio suites 2*). I still guessing the 2.5* in the LM zone is the Hilton Garden Inn. I have some old winning bids in Lake Mary I'll try to find and post.
  6. ok, this is a strange one. When I started bidding and picked Lake Mary only 2.5* and below appeared. I had seen a 3* on HW at $52 and "thought" it was the Hilton Garden Inn (which PL has as a 2.5*). I decided to start at 2.5* only and $42. That was rejected so I added Sanford(which does have a 3*)as a rebid and went up to $44 and won the Marriott. However my confirmation says I've been upgraded to a 3* in Lake Mary when there was never a 3* zone to begin with????? Can someone check it out and see if I missed something? Since there is no map of either zone I can only guess that the Marriott is actually in the Sanford zone eventhough it's street address is Lake Mary??? Congratulations, you got your price of $44 for a hotel room, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 3-star hotel! Marriott Orlando Lake Mary Check-In Date: Saturday, July 3, 2004 Check-Out Date: Sunday, July 4, 2004 1501 International Parkway Lake Mary, Florida 32746 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes $11.08 Total Charges: $55.08 anyway I think this is a great deal for my friend who's going to the Pepsi 400 last minute and this is only about 45 miles away from Daytona(He's coming from Naples, Fl)
  7. I've got a feeling the 3.5* is the Tuscanny Suites (former Best Western Tuscanny Suites). In the zone and about the right price.
  8. Saw a 5* on HW for $173 so I started at $145 and received counter offer of $167. Added free rebid of UNLV to win at $147. Not a bad deal for a Saturday arrival. 9. got it for a friend who was paying $140 a night for the Luxor, so not a bad upgrade for $9 a day.
  10. 8pm kickoff on Monday Night. I think ABC has the game on instead of Monday night football, next year it's in Tallahassee also on the Monday of Labor day weekend. Still can't believe that someone gave inventory to priceline for these dates. I bet you won't find a room on Priceline in Tallahassee next year.

  17. dates are 10/19 for 3 nights. North Michigan Ave- Water Tower - Gold Coast Customer Favorite! $89 best value 4* restaurant, exercise, hi speed and business center. didn't see it on the list but maybe the Millenium ????
  18. It's interesting as they haven't dropped resort bidding for this zone and the Renaissance was the only "reported" resort in the zone.....so.........me thinks they might now have access to some onsite Universal properties or maybe expect to.....then again it could also be to shield this hotel as it was one of the easiest to get since their price was consistent ($69 to $85) and if you just search for your dates with a vacation package and saw it open you could then bid for hotel only and have lots of free rebids. how many hits a week does this site get from Stamford, CT. anyway?????? lol.
  19. Check-In Date: Fri, Jul 9, 2004 Check-Out Date: Mon, Jul 12, 2004 offer price $135 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $405.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $68.53 Total Charges: $473.53
  20. Renaissance Orlando Resort - * * * * Orlando, Florida In sunny Orlando, fantasy attractions await you. The award-winning, 778-room Renaissance Orlando Resort is at the heart of it all. Sea World is across... Hotel Details based on a package I was searching for 11/4-8 it seems the Renaissance has been downgraded to 4* from Resort. This place is great so I assume the downgrade had more to do with priceline politics than anything else.

  22. started with Fort Lauderdale DT only and 3* at $49, rec'd counter-offer of $12 add'l, added free rebid of Pompano Beach and $54 but was rejected again. Started a completely new bid with Fort Lauderdale DT and Miramar at $55 and was accepted. (I would have had one more shot by adding Pompano Beach to this need bid but didn't need it. Hotwire had the Embassy at $74. Embassy Suites Hotel Fort Lauderdale Check-In Date: Saturday, June 12, 2004 Check-Out Date: Sunday, June 13, 2004 Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.93 Total Charges: $67.93
