hotwire marks up every rate it gets from hotels, usually 10-30%. You can't do anything because they showed you a price and you agreed to it and that's what they charged you. I don't think you can double the difference your own rate. The hotel is in violation of their contract with hotwire since rule #1 is not to disclose the rate HW is paying to the guest. PS - it's the small profit that keeps them in business.

if you bid 4* Strip area only you won't get the Golden Nugget since it's in the Downtown zone. The Westin is now a 3* so if you bid only 4*'s your ok. unless you are ok with the possibility of getting two different hotels you HAVE to bid for all 3 at once.

I think we'll be adding a few more as this poor fellow needs a room for the next few months every Tues-Sat. and the boss wants them cheap. I can't wait to find every 1 or 2 star in the area. :)
