Well I figure I will keep trying and if Im paying 137 for the Orleans I can pay a little more than that for a 5*. =)

I see on your boards that someone got 185 for 18th thru 20th Wynn. I think I have an entire month to keep trying and so many free rebids for Vegas 5* I will keep trying a bit lower and hope for something cheaper. .

We are paying 25 per night for the first two nights and 136 per nignt for the last two nights. This is at the Orleans which is where they watch the tournament games. I would prefer to stay at the Wynn/Palazzo/Venetian. I am willing to pay about 140 for the last two nights and maybe 85 for the first two?? Otherwise I would stay at the Orleans for 2 and PL hotel the last two.

We will be in LV all four days but I have a good offer at another hotel for 16-18 so was possibly going to only stay 2 nights at the PL hotel. It is the NCAA tournament week.

Well, I took the gamble that I would hopefully get Palazzo or Venetian if I bid $79 which seems like a common amount being accepted at the moment. I bid 65 again and PL countered at 88. I bid 75 no luck. I bid 79 knowing this bid would be more likely to be accepted. It was and I got the Palazzo!!! Whew, I REALLY didnt want Trump and thought I wuold take the chance with 79. Im so glad I got Palazzo. Thanks for all your help. I used the PRICELINE link for my bid! Monica

I did see, thanks to your site, that several people won Venetian and Palazzo at 79. I have bid $55, $60 and now $70. After my $70 bid, I got a counter offer of $88. If i meet them in the middle, that will be 79.00. I did see someone else got the $88 counter offer and booked for 79(Venetian). Dont know if that means its more likely to be Venetian. I want to try that, but Im kind of chicken because I really dont want the Trump. Have you heard from people who have stayed there? I will use the links! Im just bummed because I loved that you could bid 5*North and pretty much knew you would get Palazzo or Venetian. Oh well, couldnt last forever I guess. =) Monica

I have always been able to bid 5* North of strip and know I was getting Palazzo or Venetian...now I see the Trump tower is participating in PRICELINE. =( I am looking at 12/7-12/10/08. My question is...I know that you CANNOT guarantee which hotel that you will get...but are you seeing a trend...like Trump is higher priced or anything like that? Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up bidding 139 for 2 rooms and it was accepted. That must be the lowest they will go. Thanks for your help. Monica

I just bid 125 and the counter offer was a bit different. They said if I increased my bid by 22 they would accept. I am willing to go to 139. Will let you know.

It was actually Palazzo. I booked it Feb 7th for a March 19th 3 night stay.

I am willing to try 139...I guess my point is that usually you can save a bit more going through priceline. For example I paid 166 during March Madness when the going rate was 329...so about half. Now that the rates are 200 for these dates, I thought 125 would be high enough. Thanks, Monica

No matter what I bid, I am getting coutner offers of 155 each time. The regular rate for my dates is 200 for Venetian AND Palazzo. I dont understand why the counter is so high. I started at 90 and wen up to 125. I think 155 through PRICELINE is high considering I can book through their site for 199. Any ideas?

I got a good price from that site too. I contacted the hotel directly and they matched the price...that way I had the 72 hour cancellation policy.

I started bidding at $35 and moved up a few dollars at a time adding areas with lower star levels than I was requesting. When I bid 43 I got a response saying that if I bid 12 more my bid would be accepted. I bid $45 and added another area and my bid was accepted. Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort. (I forgot to put that in the title and dont know how to edit it)

I am looking for a 3* in the Disneyland area in Anaheim CA. I prefer 4* but dont see any available in this area...not sure how far away the 4* would be. Hotwire does show 3 1/2*. The dates are Feb 25-27th. Thanks!

I notice that there can be quite a price range within the same star rated hotel. Does bidding more increase the odds of getting the "better" hotel? Thanks, Monica
