  1. won this hotel on Monday......this was a last minute decision to get a hotel for the beginning of our trip...it is so close to the date & also it seems to be VERY busy in southern FL now so I had gotten alot of rejections of bids because I think alot of the hotels are pretty full..... used savings barn link... bid $75.00 4* West FLL/Plantation - rejected rebid 85.00 & added FLL Arpt North - rejected rebid 92.00 & added miramar - rejected rebid 95.00 & added 3* & received this Holiday Inn might have gotten this a little cheaper if I had added the 3* on the second or third rebid, but was trying to get into the 4* Hyatt Regency Bonaventure - had a gut feeling it was too sold out though....anyhow this hotel is supposed to be very recently renovated, & the Holiday Inn website gave me a price of $243.00 per night w/ AAA discount, so I will be happy with what I got it for!!!! Hopefully it is nice!!! Thanx again for all the tips on this forum - it is a great help....now I wish for sunshine in Florida...
  2. this is pleasure/vacation trip - I just got the transfer to your new server.....have had success on a hotel in West FLL & will post it on a new topic....thanx!!!!!
  3. you are right..... 65.00 rejected re-bid 70.00 added FLL Arpt North rejected rebid 75.00 added miramar rejected rebid 80.00 added downtown FLL rejected not looking good.......
  4. looking for advice & tips on priceline bidding for this hotel for a 1 night (Wed) stay on 2/27 for a reasonable price - maybe $60-65 - will go thru savingsbarn.com to start - very new to priceline & the "re-bid" process - anyone who has any pointers on what zone(s) to add for free "rebids" if I dont get it on my first try.....also I am trying to figure out if there are any other 3* hotels in the same zone as this that we might get stuck in as this hotel looks very nice for our 1 night stay & would prefer not to get put somewhere else.....I think this hotel is in the FLL North zone, but I am not sure on that also - anyone with pointers or advice on a price to offer & the "rebid" zones to add to get this would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! Thanx!!!!
  5. Hi - looking for a little help here....new to priceline (& this forum) & am very new with the rebid process on priceline - I know a little about it as in putting in the bid & if rejected add a little to offer & add a zone for the free "rebid" - I am looking at this hotel to try for it on a wed night mid march - any ideas on my chances? also so I dont mess this up doing my rebids - any info on the rebids -which 5 zones to add would be greatly appreciated.....this is a great forum & have had some great advise before - thanx to all who post on this forum - it is a great help!!!! :)
  6. First - new to this forum - thanx for a great travel tool- researched on this forum for advice on bidding on Priceline - (very new to that also!!) - wrote down some pointers & proceeded to bid on Priceline..... started on the savingsbarn.com link... named my price for 63.00 for the (I hear brand new refurbished) Ft Lauderdale (beach) Courtyard 2.5* 63.00 bid rejected - got message that if I wanted to increase price by 17.00 - I refused rebid & added FLL north to the areas (as advised on this site) & upped my price to 69.00 & BINGO - it worked!!!! cancelled out our AAA rate near the airport which was $110.00 per night plus taxes.......now we are on the beach at a nicer hotel.....going to cost 26.50 per day to park @ the hotel, but I am still below what I was going to pay before & we are at a nicer hotel at a great location!!!! THANX AGAIN for all the great tips listed on this - it was very helpful!!!!!
