We're going at the end of March. Since parking is so expensive in Boston, we've opted to not get a rental car while in Boston and have one while we make our day trips. Since we decided to go without a car, we decided to stay in downtown area. Which is Copley/Quincy Market zones. And as you see the Hyatt for $61 is quite a popular winner on PRICELINE and it's very close to a subway station. Have fun in Boston, we're still planning our trip and trying to figure everything out.

Looks like $61 is the magic number, I started at 55, and got up to 61 with $1 increments, and was accepted. It seems the lowest on the board has been $61, as always, thanks for the great board.

Thanks, it would seem that the least expensive option would be parking at a mbta lot that is further out and ride public transport in.

Hi All, I just called Hyatt before I do any bidding, they told me $32/night?!?! I wanted to see for those who have won and stayed there, what your parking experience? I asked if there was street parking, the lady said "if you want to risk it"

Man, Boston is got some ridiculous taxes for rentals cars. I am going at the end of March as well, but I am renting a car for 4 days. Checkout Alamo.com if it's a weekend rental as they have specials for $10/day on economy and compact sizes. I made a reservation for that, 4 days came out to be around 82, the taxes and fees of around 42 was more than the rental cost of $40 itself!

But I am bidding for a SUV on PRICELINE until then, not sure where we're going, having AWD/4WD might be useful. Also if you want to return at night I would really consider the airport since they're open 24 hours.

I miss Reno. something you can try in the future is to sign up for the players club at El Dorado, they give out Casino rates like hot cakes. $40 room when it was $120 on website for example.

Just a quick thought, Priceline is generally difficult if you have specific needs. You can only hope for the best, but to be honest, the price for imperial palace seems way high. Have you tried HOTWIRE? It's usually cost a few more bucks than PRICELINE, but you can ID the hotels with ease by looking at the hotel list

Well I was trying to get a hotel in some other zones and bid as high as 170 for coronado since yesterday and no go. Eventually gave up and just did downtown and put in $90, got it on the first try...should have bid lower, just got frustrated, at least I didn't put in $100

Must be a busy weekend. you can probably get it around 212 to 214 if offer is 226. However, that seems really high, but it might be peak season now. Make reservation at 259, is that with all the promotions, if not google and look for promotions, make your reservation and you can bid once a day till then...well, until the last day to cancel...

I guess the up in price at $177 is a weekend thing. More people shop for traveling on the weekends. I've seen that a couple of times, at alaska airlines, a couple of other hotels. so if you are you looking for something make sure look on weekdays and compare to weekend prices.

ended up with the venetian, was hoping for the palazzo, but no biggie, the rooms there have been renovated and are probably similar. I love the venetian, although I've alway stayed there around 120, first time paying $22 more, btw pricelines fees are pretty hefty.

Anyway, my past experiences have been, I've not had a problem getting 2 queen beds.

I've always received a counter offer of $155 on my first bid of each day, and then no go for the rest.

Until last night, when I was bidding the counteroffer increased to $177. Just wanted let you guys know, I didn't bite, yet since I've got a res anyway, and some other little things came with the promotion so I'm ok with it unless I get a much better deal on priceline. I'm use to bidding and getting $120 all the time :)

I am trying to find out because they usually charge more for their 2 queen rooms with promotional prices(I've got a res already), so I wanted to find out if anyone had experience winning a bid on pricline and going to Palazzo and getting 2 queens.

I went to the Big Island with my family this past christmas. Instead of one way, we just drove back to Hilo. I got up early in the morning and it was a 2 1/2 hour easy driving, although from waikoloa area...

Accepted for $60 at the residence Inn. Originally bid on 17-18 for $60 and then just added a night after the bid was won (16-17)

Downside. Parking is $19 at this location, although supposedly there are ample street parking. But with hot breakfast buffet.

This is not as good as the $45/night I had got at Hyatt Bellevue a couple of years ago, but this will have to suffice. Originally was hoping for the silver cloud, but this is a bit less...
