Stayed there last August for 3 nights - it's a wonderful property, you've bagged a real bargain. Although it's separate to Mandalay Bay, the trip frpm TheHotel rooms to the pool area is quicker than from the MGM Grand's rooms to its own pool area!! The pool area is fab too. Enjoy!
Sorry to waste your time, Aaron, but they have now decided not to go and will try to offload the tickets some other way?
My sincere apologies.
Aaron, thank you for your help - I really appreciate the time it must have taken you!
I think the Hampton Inn & suites at West Bend is available for the duration - includes a double bed and a sofa bed, plus complimentary breakfast. It's only about 32 miles from the course, and is about the same distance from the airport, so it's pretty well situated. It's coming out at $95 per night which, including taxes, is $757 for the 7 nights. That may be as good as he can reasonably expect, and the hotel is very well rated on Trip Advisor.
I will get him to book it via your Hampton Inn link, if he does go ahead with it. Whatever, I'll report back on conclusion?
Thanks again for your assistance. :)
Thanks aaron - I'm not sure what budget he has, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind the additional 20-30 mile drive, if it saved him sufficent money!
What are these other areas, please?
Sorry, Thereuare, you probably guessed that I booked it from 12 August to 17 August (5 nights). I have added the confirmation thread already?
Hi - just booked this, the amenities were :
Resort
Casino
Fitness Centre
Pool
Restaurant
Business Centre
Internet Access
Cost was $98 per night (and this includes a Friday & Saturday night!), tax recovery charges were $67.81, making a grand total for five nights of $557.81 !!
As always, I used your HOTWIRE link - thank you guys for coming up trumps again (I just went back and checked the other Aria 'winners'). A wonderful deal, I think you'll agree?!
:)
Hi, just come across this :
Resort
Casino
Fitness
Pool
Restaurant
Business Centre
Internet
for a 5* South Strip property, dates as above (8 nights).
The cost is $93 per night (for 2 adults and 1 child) , total of $843.18.
I'm thinking it's the Aria - could this be confirmed please?
Two supplimentary questions -
What is the pool area like here (as compared to say MGM Grand or Palazzo)?
Also, does anyone know how much the resort fee is per night?
Thank yoi in advance.
A friend of mine has tickets for the week at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin, for the US PGA Golf - he needs a room for 3 adults, from Mon 9th August for 7 nights, checking out on Monday 16th August?
I'm having little or no luck with the courses website, that seems to offer very little info around lodging in the area. He understands that he needs a car/auto to drive - but he has asked me to see where it would be viable to stay to make the commute acceptable? Also, do HOTWIRE have hotels in that area etc etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully you arrive early enough to take partake in their managers reception and late enough the following day to enjoy their breakfast :)Have a great stay and trip!
The breakfast was a major attraction - we'll partake before our drive to Vegas! Is the manager's reception the evening before a 'happy hour, one wonders?!
Are there any reviews of the hotel from betterbidder's, or do you have any knowledge of it?
We will thanks and, again, credit for the great site - it's saved me so much in the past few years!
Just to confirm, booked through your HOTWIRE link;

Thanks for your help - your hotel list pinpointed the property. Going on their site for $169 + tax, so I'm pretty pleased!
As always the hotel list was correct. I know it isn't infallible, but I've never had the wrong steer yet, and I've used it quite a bit the past 18 months or so.
Thanks for your efforts.
Incredible deal!
Picked up this hotel for $112 + taxes and fees ($23.17) = Total $135.17 for one night. This is just over
Using your hotel list, this came up for the Saturday night as the Hollywood Heights Hotel - about 2 blocks from Manns Chinese Theatre. Couldn't resist - thank you! Cheapest rate via their own website is $159 + tax!
It has a TripAdvisor rating of 3.5, up to May 2009.
Amenities:
Smoke Free
Fitness
Pool
Restaurant
Business Centre.
Cost $80 + $16.49 in taxes and fees = $96.49.
Seems like a great deal - I used your HOTWIRE link (as always) and thanks for the site!
In the end, we decided to stay with our present booking at Palm Mountain Resort & Spa.
But thank you for your efforts.
Cheers Thereuare - can I just ask, how far is Cathedral City from downtown Palm Springs and is it that much of an inconnvenience being in Cathedral City?
Hi there,
Could you help with this one for the above dates, please? The amenities are:
Smoke Free
Complimentary Breakfast
Fitness Centre
Pool
Business Cntr
Laundry
Hi speed internet
Golf
Tennis (appears when all amenities are shown)
It's coming out at $63 per night, for 2 adults & 2 kids, for 16-20 July (4 nights)?
Trip Advisor rating is 4/5 from 20+ reviews in February.
All help greatly appreciated!
Great deal - that buffet deal seems to be coming up in all the MGM Mirage properties, it started at Excalibur (for $25) and I think The Luxor had it too. It's a great deal - but how often are you going to use a buffet more than once a day?
Don't know if this deal can be accessed via this sit's MGM link, but this:
Is a fabulous deal, and runs through the period you are talking about (2 free buffet passes, plus other bonuses) and, as you know, the MGM is an excellent hotel.
I'm sure the guys on here will help you?
Monte Carlo has 3.5/5 on tripadvisor, Luxor is a 3/5, so I would guess it's the Luxor. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link if you do book this property, and let us know how it goes.
Thanks for that - I wanted the Monte Carlo, unfortunately.
Thanks anyway.
Looking at this guys:
Resort
Casino
Fitness
Pool
Restaurant
Business Centre
Internet
Golf
Tennis
Spa
Trip Advisor is 3/5 from 3240+ up to February.
Any definite way of knowing if it's The Luxor or Monte Carlo?
Thanks Colfax & Thereuare.
I think I'm going to sit on this for awhile - I'm beginning to sway towards a 3* in Hollywood, as you say Colfax. It would just be easier - and, as I'm literally only using it to throw the bag in overnight, I don't need anything particularly fancy.
Sorry for messing you about but I will report back as and when I make the decision.
Good info, thank you.
I'll be meeting friends, probably in or around Hollywood Blvd (possibly the Cat & fiddle). It's the getting back to the hotel at night, after a few drinks, I'm concerned about - I'd love to stay in Pasadena, but that 20-30 minutes (and about $50) by cab. I may as well get a better hotel closer to the area I'm going to be for the night?
I'm coming to this thread late, but you're bidding in zones where the 3.5* charge for parking. Be thinking another $20-40/night for parking, depending which hotel you win.
Never thought of that - do they all charge for parking? Do the hotels in LAX & Redondo not charge for parking?
Right, having really thought it over, I don't really want LAX or Redondo - too far from where I'm likely to spend the evening meeting friends. So, could you give me a strategy for the other four please, and I'm seriously sorry to waste your time with the previous request.
