Hi, I looked in the Hotwire-California pinned list for this property and the only 5* is the Bernardus Lodge. It might be the same place but Bernardus Lodge had 8 amenities while this 5* on Hotwire has 9 (the extra amenity is the 'smoke-free rooms') which might mean it is just a new added amenity to Bernardus Lodge's list or it could be another place entirely. It does say 'Recommended in 100 % of Hotwire customer reviews' if that helps. I know that there is a 3.5 star hotel in the same area on Hotwire for the same price ($59) but going off of the information from betterbidding, the Courtyard Inn and Suites has great amenities: free parking, free shuttle, free internet, free breakfast, AND it's right next to Ruby Tuesdays and other places to eat at the mall. In my mind it's a better deal. So thank you better bidding and I will continue to use your links! I was surprised to get the Omni Cancun Hotels and Villas because on their website they state that they are rated a 5-star. To be honest I was expecting the Hilton and was SUPER excited to get it, but I've read up on reviews of the Omni and though it's doesn't get as high a user review rating as the Hilton, I think we will be okay :) Maybe you guys want to add this to your Hotwire list of known hotels? It took a few days of trying but it was worth the effort! The rooms here were beautiful, 4 star rating, but the resort itself is just okay with just 2 tiny pools. The beach is amazing for snorkeling though!

This was over Memorial Day Weekend so I'm surprised we got such a good price. The hotel was literally connected to the Petco Park Stadium and we had a great view of the entire baseball field from our room. Downstairs there is a Mccormick and Schmidt which has happy hour on weekday afternoons as well as late nights most nights ($2 for a huge cheeseburger!) Another great thing about the hotel is that it is right next to the Gaslamp District as well as the Convention Center. Parking on the street was so easy unless there was a game on in which case we just ended up parking at the $5 lots. :) Not bad! Hope this helps~
