  8. Bid 3*: Tempe for $36, Rejected. Added Carefree: increased bid to $41, Rejected. Added Fountain Hills: increased bid to $45, Accepted. Fiesta Resort Conference Center Tempe - Asu 2100 South Priest Drive Tempe Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $19.39 Total Charges*: $109.39 Would have preferred the Hyatt Place or the Residence Inn. Generally have at least 2 of my kids with me. I like the Residence Inn b/c of the full kitchen (and they have fireplaces in some rooms as well!). My kids like the TV's in the Hyatt Places and Residence Inns as well. Metrocenter lately seems to have a higher likelihood of getting the Residence Inn. Not as good as a neighborhood though. Chose Tempe this time because the last few times I have been to Phoenix to visit my mother she has requested the Chirashi sushi from the Fujiya Market.

  19. Dona, To my understanding, the hotels listed on the BB pinned" page (pasted below)...are representative of known hotels to date. Not a complete list of all possible hotels. --------------------------- ARIZONA Flagstaff - Sedona (Flagstaff) 3* Embassy Suites 3* Radisson Woodlands Hotel REVIEW 2.5* AmeriSuites 2.5* Holiday Inn (now HI Express... not yet reported as a win) REVIEW 2.5* Residene Inn 2* Best Western Kings House 2* Fairfield Inn 2* Inn Suites tripadvisor reviews 2* La Quinta 2* Ramada Limited ------------------------- Above being said, ...I live in Flagstaff. The only 3* on the above list that I know of in central Flagstaff, would be the Embassy Suites. Locate it on a map of Flagstaff, that is what I would call central Flag anyway. It is located near the bend on Milton by NAU, the university. The Radisson is in the SW portion of the city off of old Route 66. The Embassy Suites are rather close to the train tracks, I have no idea of how soundproof the building is. We do have a new conference center in town. The hotel associated with it is called Drury Inn and is also in central Flagstaff. Drury Inn sits at the intersection of Milton and Butler bordering the university. I have no idea if Drury would be a Priceline hotel. If I had to guess, I would say not. Flagstaff has no problem filling it's hotels. One might call them and ask if they participate in PRICELINE's programs. HTH
  20. The staff is professional. Two months ago, Zeinab welcomed me back and commented it had been a while since I had stayed with them. Being a Priority Club member, I have had no problems being upgraded to the executive floors at no extra charge. No mention of Priceline. The sleep hygiene package is a nice amenity. The first time I stayed with them, I was returning from a microbiology conference in Orlando. In Orlando, a lightening storm shut down the airport. We could not disembark from the plane due to the lightening. We were stuck in the plane for a couple of hours with no AC. I missed my connecting flight out of Phoenix. The airline company put me in the Crowne Plaza (airport). It was very late by the time my luggage was found and I made it over to the hotel. The front desk associate took one look at my face...exclaimed that I was a distressed passenger and upgraded me to the executive floor. The sleep package includes a relaxing CD, eyemask, ear plugs and lavender linen spray. The bathtub is roomy and nice to soak in with a glass of wine while listening to the CD. There is a CD player in the room. The executive rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, lock box and cotton robes. The shampoo and soaps are scented with a light white tea, vetiver and ginger mix. I am not sure however, I believe the toiletries are from the UK. The soaps may be French milled and ecologically responsible. The furnishings are beginning to show the need for a remodel. Despite this, this hotel is a nice place to stay. During the monsoons, if you can...get a room on a high floor facing the storm. The monsoons in the area can yield terrific squalls and lightening storms from dusk to near midnight. Turn the lights out, soak in the tub (I bring electric candles), fill a glass of wine and relax by the large plate glass windows. The storms are beautiful to behold! I would recommend this hotel to travelers!
  21. Our stay was the evening of the 4th of July, 2008. The building is an older building. I would classify this hotel as a two star, a 2.5 max. The air conditioner in the room was off when we arrived. The bedroom never really cooled down. This was the hottest time of the year for Phoenix. The two double bed suite with sleeper sofa accommodated my husband, our four children and myself. The beds were comfortable. The linens were a fairly decent cotton...possibly percale. The bathroom had barely enough space to swing the door into. The kitchenette had a microwave, mini fridge, sink, cups, plates and cutlery. However, no dish soap. Customer service was adequate. The agent at the front desk was not overly friendly or remote...simply reserved. My husband had to go to the front desk to obtain sheets for the sleeper sofa. We did not stay for the breakfast, thus, I have no way to rate the food. The hotel is in a business section that is fairly dark and deserted at night. We arrived rather late and I was faintly disturbed by the darkness of the area. In the morning, the area looks quite different. I saw I really had no real need for concern...in terms of safety. If you are used to upscale chains with modern buildings, subtle fragrances, emphasis on customer service, state of the art technology and appliances, this property may fall short of the mark for you.
  22. First bid declined at $38. Tried again today accepted at $57 first try.
