There's a Stater Bros in the shopping plaza across the street and starbucks as well. We enjoyed our stay. The air conditioner/hvac unit in the room was loud, but it drowned out the noise from the outside the room so much that I never heard our neighbors, elevators, doors opening or closing. :D

We enjoyed our stay, there was hardly anyone there, my daughter loved the pool with the slides, my husband loved the golf on the Main Westin property. Forgot to mention that there is a $15 a day parking fee.

Started bid at $60 with 3.5 star in North Coastal County then added Downtown-Harbor Island at $65 got Doubletree Hotel and San Diego. $65 bid accepted $16.04 Taxes Total charges $81.04 Self Parking $20 And of course Used the BetterBidding link Can't wait to have some chocolate chip cookies. :) oh btw, before I went to priceline I think I saw this 3.5 star Downtown-Harbor (Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access), at HOTWIRE for $67.00 and $14.08 with taxes came out to $81.08 almost the same thing for the same dates. Most likely the Doubletree Hotel, but I went with PRICELINE instead.

Yes, I loved staying at the Sheraton Waikiki and Sheraton San Diego Marina!!! both times we went through HOTWIRE and PRICELINE respectively and both never mentioned where we booked the hotel upon check in and both offered upgrades, The Sheraton Waikiki was gracious enough to offer us free upgrades. <3 <3 <3 Very Welcoming hotels. Yes, I don't mind paying extra for double beds, takes more work to clean up two beds rather than one. I totally understand. I went looking at tripadvisor's comments on the Sheraton Carlsbad and heard mixed things about other's stay, the reviewers say there is a resort fee $12 to use the pool and grounds. And there's an additional $12 for parking or $16 for valet. Which is pretty normal for San Diego Hotels. So I wanted to post here for fyi to other people who are booking this hotel.

Thank you Yellowdog, I wanted to come back and mention that I called the hotel and gave them my Starwood Preferred guest number and requested double beds, they said it would be an additional charge of $10 extra, since it was purchased through priceline, but since there's no charge for parking, I'm going to take it as a wash. :) The lady answering the phone was borderline giving major tude cause it was purchased through priceline tho... Which I've never had any problems with past Priceline booking and Starwood properties stay, we were even given an upgrade at no charge when we stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki, so I'm definitely drafting up a nice letter to management on this one.

Started bidding at $60 for 4* Downtown for dates 8.31.09 - 9.2.09, rejected added San Ysidtro at $67, rejected added Chula Vista at $74, accepted (I guess 3rd time really is a charm) Results Hilton San Diego Gaslamp We love Hilton Hotels so we're happy with the results. and as always used the priceline link on betterbidding! Help needed for Bidding for Resort in Phoenix North area... I tried bidding for a RESORT in the PHOENIX NORTH area starting at $55, since I saw several earlier winning bids for this area at that price, I figured why not. Added AVONDALE-GOODYEAR-BUCKEYE AREA with $65, not accepted. I stopped bidding for today, and wanted to do some research before bidding any more. Here are the hotel prices for the following RESORTS in the PHOENIX NORTH area. Resort JW Marriott Desert Ridge - $389 Resort Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak - No rooms available Resort Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs - $249 AVONDALE-GOODYEAR-BUCKEYE area Resort Wigwam - $299 I am also a Hilton Honors and with the hilton honors and AAA membership... I saw ~$160 earlier today but now lowest price is showing $224.10 for Tapatio, Guess they figured out that Spring training is coming so they bumped up the prices... :) Should I even try for a $100 stay?? I looked at previous year's winning bids and there was a couple around the same time frame that won Tapatio around $80-$100 stay but bid closer to the actual date. Any suggestions/strategy?
