Just following up - traveled with friends that bid priceline for this stay (not sure if they used this site although i told them about it). Won Holiday Inn at $59 including tax & fees.

Please help ID the following for 7/12-7/20 $54 3-star hotel in Palm Springs - Cathedral City Fitness, Pool, Laundry, Internet, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby Thank you

Bidders should be aware that Palm Springs Hyatt Regency is under construction and the pool is closed!! They have a deal to shuttle people a few blocks to another hotel pool ... but who wants to do that?? Last year this was a 3* hotel on Priceline.

My last purchase of the San Rafael Extended Stay is already posted on the board with dates, star, and bid information - as is the purchase before that. I should note that I did find out that the San Rafael Travellodge is closer, not farther, away from town than the Extended Stay - but it was confirmed that it is more like a 1* motel and not in any way comparable to the quality of the Extended Stay.

I have purchased this property on priceline before but this time it was a relative who purchased it.

San Rafael 2* hotels now includes the Travel Lodge which is not anywhere as nice as the 2* Extended Stay, and it is further out from town. Becuase of the disparity of between the two hotels, this is an unfortunate addition to the 2* category and will limit me from bidding this category again.

I should note that the Hotwire hotel for 10.11.08 was a 3* Clarion in Millbrae for $71

Rejected Bid $48 last night. Upped bid to $52 tonight and won 2* Extended Stay Delux San Rafael 12.9-12.13.

Recently bid and won 2.5* Courtyard Marriott in San Mateo (San Francisco) which turned out to be Foster City - a good distance from the airport. Turns out the hotel did not have an airport shuttle on the weekends. It was going to cost almost $70 RT by cab or even more with a rental car to get there (I was in the airport at the time and someone did the bid remotely for me). I ended up having my friend get a room close to the hotel and with an airport shuttle from Hotwire for the same $70. Just wanted to provide this as a heads up to people. I won't be including the San Mateo area in my future bids near the San Francisco airport.

FYI - on PRICELINE I recently won a 2* in San Rafael which was the Extended Stay suites. I don't know if the star level is the same on both hotwire and priceline. I also don't know whether the star changes on priceline have bumped the Extended Stay to a 2.5*. I also read somewhere (maybe on this forum) that the Best Western or Travelodge (which is even further on the outskirts of San Rafael than the Extended Stay) has converted it's rooms by adding a kichenette and is now is "suites". This hotel is a lot less nice than the Extended Stay but may be showing up in the 2.5* on priceline. I'm watching to see if it does as I do not want to bid and end up with it. So... please let us know your results!

Have bid several nights for the SFO area but did not win. Tonight bid $60 for 4* or 3.5* in SFO area, declined due to similar bid within 24 hours, added South San Francisco free rebid for $62 - won the Hyatt Regency.

Bid $57 won 2* Extended Stay Deluxe San Rafael, CA First tried 3* and 2.5* for $60 and $62 - then added 2* and lowered price to $57 which is about 1/2 the hotel site quote. Actually tried for SFO and South SFO but did not get a win within my price limits.

3* Holiday Inn SEA airport $52- first bid win for 10/10-10/11. used the betterbidding PRICELINE link

Bid $50 for 3* and got the Marriott Gateway at Denver Airport the first bid. I used the PRICELINE links with the data fields at the top of the betterbidding page - is that sufficient to link through your site to priceline?? Dates 9/28-9/29
