  1. Canada Joe, this one looks to be the one on Bloor St, the Inter-Continental Yorkville. That would be my best guess. What differentiates the two is the tripadvisor rating. On the tripadvisor site, the I-C Downtown is rated 3.5 out of 5 based on 123 reviews, whereas the I-C Yorkville is rated 4.5 out of 5 based on 96 reviews which fits your criteria much better. 2. Looking at google maps, the Trump hotel is just north of the strip but it runs along the same street, Las Vegas Blvd. Essentially there is the Trump, then south of that is the Fashion Show Mall, then south of that is Treasure Island. I stayed at Treasure Island a couple years ago and it was about a 5 min walk from TI to the mall, so I would expect another 5 minutes to get to Trump.
  3. Now that you mention it Diamond Dog, yea, the Trump could be good bet. Every room comes with a fully equipped kitchen: "Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances by Sub-Zero, Wolf and Bosch" (directly from the Trump Vegas Suites site) I totally missed the fact that Casino wasn't listed as an amenity. Looks like we may have a new hotel to add to the list. Use this HOTWIRE link to start the purchase.
  4. The 3.5* looks to be the Hilton. Again, this is based on double-checking the tripadvisor rating. Hotwire states that it has a 3 out of 5 rating based on 100+ reviews, and tripadvisor gives it a 3 out of 5 rating based on 104 reviews. That would be my best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
  5. The e-mail from PRICELINE is an automatic message that gets sent out once your 24hrs is up just to get you to back to their site and try again rather than booking off another site since you got rejected the first time. I think it has very little to do with PRICELINE assuming you would bid higher. There is another thread on this site that goes into more detail on theories of how PRICELINE chooses which hotel you will win, but the jist of it is that just because you bid a higher amount it doesn't necessarily mean PRICELINE is making more money off you. I believe it is this link: Don't bid higher With that being said, it may be possible to win a hotel room the next day at a cheaper price as hotels may add rooms at any time, or even change their winning bid requirements at any time. But I personally would think it's unlikely for that to happen. Now, since Toronto has many re-bid zones if you are booking a 4*, it may be worth while to start below where you left off yesterday just to take that chance and then quickly go above it if you don't win. If you are bidding in a city with very few re-bid zones then I would personally bid higher than my previous day's bid to not run the risk of wasting the bid. Hope this helps a bit. Here is the PRICELINE link to get your purchase started.
  6. This one looks like it could be the Wynn or the Venetian. The only thing that is throwing me off is the kitchenette. Searching through both of these hotel's websites only the Venetian looks to have some rooms that have a dining area and wet bar, I could not find the same at the Wynn, but that does not mean that the Wynn doesn't have it. Either way, these are two amazing hotels. Keep in mind that it could also be a completely different hotel than either of these since new hotels can be added at any time. Only the Wynn and Venetian have been identified on this site as 5* in the Centre Strip so far. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  7. This one looks to be the MGM Grand. That would be my best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  8. I stayed at the Sheraton for a night in July 2008 and had a wonderful experience. Our room was on the 23rd floor and overlooked Nathan Phillips Square (a local attraction and civic space). The rooms were good sized for any downtown hotel, very clean, and modern. The amenities are superb, and the very large heated swimming pool was definitely a major bonus, as well as the whirlpool. The hotel is connected to the Toronto's PATH system of underground shoppes and restaurants that snakes underneath a large majority of the downtown core. It is virtually in the centre of downtown and is in close proximity to everything around: major shopping malls, good restaurants, bar/club district, etc. I did not have the same experience on check-in as some of the other people here have, with no mention being made about our reservation through PRICELINE. I guess sometimes it is just luck of the draw, but in the end this is a really nice hotel, and massive (over 1300 guest rooms).
  9. Congratulations on your win, and thanks for sharing it with the board.
  10. There are two options this could be, The Four Points or the Crowne Plaza. My guess is that it is the Four Points. This is based on what HOTWIRE lists as the tripadvisor rating of 2.5 out of 5 based on 40+ reviews. Going to tripadvisor directly you will notice that the Four Points is rated 2.5 out of 5 on 40 reviews, whereas the Crowne Plaza is rated 3 out of 5 on 80 reviews. Hence, my opinion that it is the Four Points. It seems like the price went down to $63 from $69. Double check the tripadvisor rating as given by HOTWIRE before your purchase to give you an educated guess as to which hotel it is. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  11. Thanks for sharing your win with us. Actually, PRICELINE and HOTWIRE both offer hotels in Spain as well as many other parts of Europe and around the world. It's definitely not limited to North America. Check out the Other Countries thread for more information.
  12. This one is actually a better match to Le Meridien King Edward hotel on King St. That would be my best guess. The reason why I think it's the King Eddie is based on the trip advisor rating. The Westin is rated 4 out of 5 based on 254 reviews whereas the King Eddie is rated 3.5 out of 5 based on 134 reviews, which fits the criteria much better. Still a wonderful hotel though. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  13. This one looks to be a match to the Westin Peachtree Plaza. That would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  14. This hotel looks to be a match to the Holiday Inn Montreal Airport. That would be my best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result!
  15. It's tough to help you out with such little information. Please let us know the dates of stay and amenities of the hotels and we can try to help you out. But in any case, in this situation where the hotel is not in the list on this site here's some of the things I would do to narrow it down: 1) Search through tripadvisor for Cincinnati hotels and look at the tripadvisor rating (if it is listed). Try to match the rating (# out of 5) as well as the closest amount of reviews (ex. 120+, I would be be looking at somewhere in the range of 120-140) to start with. 2) Then try to match up the amenities. They might not always match up 100% but at least matching up most of the main ones: pool, hi-speed, business, fitness, restaurant, laundry, suite, smoke-free, etc. 3) If tripadvisor comes up blank, I would do a maps.google.com search of hotels in the area and start looking at the hotels individually to try and make a match with amenities and star rating. Keep in mind that star ratings for a specific hotel may differ on various sites, but generally fall around the same. A 2* Days Inn will almost never be rated a 4* hotel, but could be a 1 or 2.5*. Let us know if you need any other help or clarification. Please use these HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
  16. This hotel looks to be a match to the Millenium Hotel. That would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let us know the result.
  17. Before we can help you out we need to know the star rating and zone as well.
  18. This hotel looks to be a match to the Holiday Inn Downtown. That would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE to start your purchase, and let us know the results.
  19. It looks like the hotels with the amenities you have listed are not available today on HOTWIRE. Just checking right now I see: 3*: fitness, pool, internet 2.5*: suite, fitness, laundry, internet The 2.5* seems to be a match to the Extended Stay Deluxe (7750 NW 25th Street),. The 3* could theoretically match a number of places with what I am seeing today so I wont make a guess, maybe someone else on this board would like to add something. With the amenities you listed yesterday, I would say that the closest match would be the Holiday Inn. These are my best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know what happens.
  20. This hotel looks to be a match to the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, that would be our best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to get there, and let us know what happens.
  21. There are a couple hotels this could be, but the Hyatt Regency is our best guess. The Delta, Sheraton, and Hilton Bonaventure, are also options but what makes me think it is the Hyatt is that it is the only one of the lot that has a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars and 160+ reviews as stated on HOTWIRE (as well as matching the amenities). Let us know what you decide. Please use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
  22. Thanks for the update. The moderator likes to 'close off' each of the threads just so that we keep as much information on here as possible, which I think is great because it still adds to the collective information of the board. So whether you end up going the HOTWIRE or PRICELINE route or not, it's good to let everyone know what you decided. It also prevents people from just continuing to ask questions and mooch off the board without ever contributing, which I think is equally important. This hotel looks to be a match to the Inter-Continental. What are the dates you are staying? Use this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know what you decide :)
  23. This one has not shown up on this board yet, so it took a little searching. But from what I see, this looks like it could be the Holiday Inn Express Florida Mall. For some reason this one doesn't show up on the Holiday Inn hotel site, but it matches the 2.5 out of 5 rating on tripadvisor, as well as having the last review in May 2008, and the amenities seem to be a pretty good match. This would be my best guess. Use this HOTWIRE link to get started. Let us know if you need any other help.
