  1. Listed for $143 on regular Priceline. PRICELINE EXPRESS deal said the hotel value was $140 We wanted something with a pool and breakfast close to the light rail and mall so this felt a better bet that bidding. Began booking with BB PRICELINE link. Pets Allowed Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking
  2. More than I have paid in the past but it is a holiday weekend and needed to make sure there were 2 beds so went with hotwire. Nice property I have stayed at before. I was hoping for the Sheraton as I prefer its location. Used BB HOTWIRE link to purchase Hilton Northbrook Check-in Fri, May 24, 2013 Sun, May 26, 2013 Hotel Rate per night:$70.00 Nights: 2 Rooms:1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $23.95 Subtotal: $163.95 Trip total: $163.95 Amenities Free Parking Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access
  3. I decided to book directly with Econo lodge. There weren't other good HOTWIRE alternatives for us this time. it was the best option for us with free breakfast and a pool...and with a winter storm coming - the option of canceling. I did my searches with your HOTWIRE link. Thanks.
  4. Somehow I missed it when i first looked at the amenities that it didn't list a pool. I think it is the Wingate by Wyndam which they list as a 3 star and includes breakfast but does not have a pool. We need a pool.
  5. We are traveling Feb 22 for one night 3* $51 Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free Rooms, fitness center, golf nearby, business center Reccomened by 100% of hotwire users. I thought it was the holiday inn but the free breakfast threw me. It also listed this. Get a 3 star hotel like: aloft Green Bay $89 Cambria Suites Green Bay $99 Ramada Plaza Green Bay $109 Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Green Bay Stadium $110 Clarion Hotel Green Bay-City Centre $70 Thanks for your help! I am traveling with a friend and our daughters to see Disney on Ice so I don't want to use priceline as need 2 beds.
  6. Started bidding on a 3 star over the last several days and stopped at $58. It wasn't worth it to us to pay more when it looked like it would be the Holiday Inn and not the Radisson based on the Hotwire numbers and website listings. Went down to 2.5 star starting at $40 and got the La Quinta Inn and Suites for $43. Websites listed it for $85. Used the BB PRICELINE link. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $43.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $43.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $12.73 (USD) Total Room Cost: $55.73 (USD)
  7. Starting bidding at $50 and very slowly went up using the many free rebids over the next couple of days. Green Bay is a tough market. There is a convention in town and a big art festival downtown. Hotel Sierra has high ratings, nice pool and free made to order breakfast. - the only 3.5 star so that is what I was going for. The 3 star hotels downtown include the Residence Inn which has only an outdoor pool and although the chances were slim - didn't want to risk it. $119 was the lowest published rate. Used BB PRICELINE link Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $79.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $158.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $28.72 (USD) Total Room Cost: $186.72 (USD)
  8. Started at $40 and using the plethora of free rebids was accepted at $49. Was offered to up my bids by $15 at bids for $43, $45, and $47. 17 different zones, I have never bid when I had so many choices that covered such a wide area most without 3.5 star hotels. Could have rebid all day :) Used BB PRICELINE link Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $49.00 Subtotal: $98.00 Taxes & Fees: $20.02 Total Charges*: $118.02
  9. Thank you for your always positive and encouraging responses! Blessings to you all the helpful people on Better Bidding!
  10. Bid at $42 for a 3 star and was "upgraded" to 3.5 Marriott West. Won on first bid. We were going for one of the 3 stars as a few of them have a little waterpark but we are fine with the Marriott. We have stayed here before and it is a nice property for a very good price. Used the BB PRICELINE link Madison West 1313 John Q Hammons Drive Middleton, Wisconsin 53562 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $42.00 Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.43 Total Charges*: $55.43
  11. I forgot to post this last month but wanted to include it since there is not much reported for Appleton Started at $40 and used rebids over a few days to get $52. Great stay. Right downtown, Good breakfast off restaurant menu (not included). Used BB PRICELINE link. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $52.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $52.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $14.03 (USD) Total Room Cost: $66.03 (USD)
  12. Starting bidding at $40 yesterday on 3 star and using rebids today, went up to $46 and Priceline countered with offer to increase bid to $60. ' Used rebids and went up to $48 and PL countered with a bid $63. Used free rebid again went up to $50 and upgraded to 3.5 star Hilton Northbrook. Yeah! It is close to where i need to be for family visit so this works out well. Used BB PRICELINE link for bidding. Northbrook Hilton 10/28 -10/30 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $50.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $100.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $20.06 (USD) Total Room Cost: $120.06 (USD)
  13. After bidding for a week on a 3.5 star with no luck, I got this on first bid for $45. It is a holiday weekend and the marathon is in town and many hotels are sold out so I feel relieved to have this. Listed at $129 a night on Priceline. Used BB PRICELINE link to make purchase. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $45.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $90.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $21.08 (USD) Total Room Cost: $111.08 (USD
  14. Thank you for your help. I went back to PRICELINE this morning using the BB link and got the Raddison for $45 so the HOTWIRE hotel listed above was likely the Radisson. I will post in the PRICELINE forum.
