  1. Different dates will have different rates and can be based on a number of factors and changes all the time. It might not be that you are doing anything wrong, it's just the way it is sometimes. What was your maximum bid so far and what would be your absolute maximum?
  2. This one looks to be a match to the Holiday Inn Express (Desoto Blvd.). That would be my best guess. The best going rate that I see is $83 from Orbitz and you can you the FABSAVE10 coupon code for $10% off which would make it about $75...Still not as good as HOTWIRE. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  3. The above statement is directly from PRICELINE about their trip insurance, and in my opinion I think weather related issues would NOT be covered. It seems like it's only for medical emergencies of the people that are travelling, and would not be applicable if someone other than that had a medical emergency. It seems pretty limited for $5. In my eyes, the actual worth of this protection is in the pennies. It's just far too limited. And I don't know where you are located, but it's only valid for US residents. Us purchasers from Canada or other countries are out of luck anyways.
  4. Can you clarify your date of stay. You mention 1/2/29, which I take to mean Jan 2 09, but the Orange Bowl is Jan 1.
  5. Congratulations on your win, and thanks for sharing your result with the board. Excellent foresight in pre-booking the room even though you might not have needed it. If I was in that situation I doubt that I would have done that, and would have been paying through the nose for a hotel that night.
  6. This hotel looks to be a match to the Radisson Plaza. That would be my best guess. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  7. The hotel lists on this site are by no means complete, they are made up of the hotels that have been reported to the board. Most likely there are many others. What star rating hotel are you looking for and what is your maximum budget? Also, include the dates of your stay and we can help you find some options or help you with a bidding process.
  8. Unfortunately with PRICELINE there is no distinction between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. A bid in that zone has an equal chance of winning a hotel in either zone. HOTWIRE does split the zone into Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, so that could be an option. I am currently seeing a 3.5* for $112 with amenities: fitness, pool, restaurant, business, and internet with a 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating based on 140+ reviews which seems to match the Crowne Plaza in Beverly Hills. I know it's a lower rated hotel than what you were looking for but the 4* is $239, which seems to be out of your price range. (The 4* looks to be the Hyatt Century Place) You will likely get a better deal on PRICELINE, but you would have to be open to West Hollywood. Is this ok? Would you be willing to go with HOTWIRE?
  9. Congratulations on your win, and thanks for using the PRICELINE link!
  10. Congratulations on your win! and thanks for using the HOTWIRE link. Enjoy your stay.
  11. clevercassius I'm with you on calling it the SkyDome, I'll never get used to the 'Rogers Centre', it just doesn't seem right. Congratulations on your win, $46 is an amazing price for a 4* in Toronto! And thanks for using the PRICELINE link. P.S. You always have the option of rejecting the counter-offer from PRICELINE and continue bidding using the re-bid zone strategy at a lower price. Almost always you will be able to win a hotel for less than the counter-offer, and with Toronto having a ton of free re-bid zones for a 4* it's worth rejecting it (unless you have used up all your re-bids)
  12. HOTWIRE lists the tripadvisor traveler review rating for this hotel as 3.5/5 based on 140+ reviews which is a match to the Outrigger Royal Kahana. That's my best guess. However, you mention that you need the place to sleep 4. Are you searching for 4 adults? When I search for 4 adults the 3* condo is not offered, the cheapest available for your star rating is a 3.5* in Wailea - Makena for $199. Searching for 4 is the only way to guarantee sleeping arrangements for 4, if you search and book under the default 2 adults then there is a possibility that the hotel/condo may not accommodate a request for 4 people.
  13. PeteF it's best to keep all posts and questions for the same stay in the same thread. That way we aren't doubling up the information and it's easier to follow along. I'll take a look to see what hotel this could be.
  14. I definitely agree with AaronJB to check specific cancellation policies with the hotel. From my experience with a number of Toronto hotels, most will offer same day cancellations before 4:00pm.
  15. SeattleTraveler please start a new thread for your stay and we'll help you out there. Include the zone that you are looking at as well.
  16. Congratulations on your win! That's an excellent price and a great savings over the regular retail price. Glad to see you are happy with the results, and thanks for using the PRICELINE link. We have modified the topic title for it to automatically appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins.
  17. Welcome to the board! Generally, PRICELINE is the cheaper option, but in some cases it is not. It all depends on which hotels are currently using each sites, and hotels that use one may not use the other. I don't think you are going to mess anything up, it's all a matter of what you are willing to spend. Since you have a couple months until your stay you could wait and keep re-bidding over the next couple weeks at lower amounts and maybe get lucky, while keeping an eye on HOTWIRE to notice whether the price goes up or down, or you can just book the HOTWIRE hotel now. The 3.5* looks like it has dropped to $103. With amenities: near beach, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, internet and a tripadvisor traveler review rating of 2.5/5 based on 220+ reviews this one looks to be a match to the Normandie Hotel. Once the tripadvisor traveler review rating dips below 3 I, and a lot of others, would start to get pretty weary about the hotel. It may be unpleasant. But taking a quick look at some of the other hotels on HOTWIRE, unless you go with the 4* they all have very poor ratings, 2 of 2.5 out of 5. What is your max budget for this stay?
  18. This one looks to match Circus Circus. That's my best guess. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  19. Bump is to just re-post in this thread bringing it to the top of the list, as you have done. This one looks like the Comfort Suites. That would be my best guess. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  20. The 4* looks to be a match to the Loews, and the 3.5* looks to match the Millenium Maxwell House. These would be my guesses. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  21. Please follow up your last thread Hotwire - New York with what you decided to do, even if it wasnt through HOTWIRE.
  22. Please include the amenities associated with each property. To see the full list click 'continue' from the main search page, and then underneath the amenity icons click 'see all amenities'
  23. So what are the actual dates of your stay? The other thread was Dec 26-28 and this one is Dec 28-30. Are you looking at any two nights in that range?
  24. Is this a continuation of your Hotwire - Ft. Lauderdale thread or is this for the same stay? The 3* looks to match the Sixty Sixty Resort Residences, and the 2.5* looks like it could match the Whitelaw Hotel. Those would be my guesses. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
  25. Congratulations on your win! and thanks for sharing it with the board. You wont be disappointed with this hotel.
