  1. I got it on my first bid. I guess I should have started lower! The night is on Labor Day weekend.
  2. $60.00 for 12/1/07-12/02/07 . ($75.11 including taxes.) First bid attempt. AAA rate /$139.00 for king bed. Standard rate /$149.00.
  3. :) We stayed at the Minneapolis Hyatt July 29- Aug 3. We asked for a king sized bed and an upper floor at check in and had no problems, except...... The room was never really cleaned. The mirrors had soap on them, the counters were not cleaned, and the trash was not emptied. We were there 5 nights. I called at one point and asked the front desk to send housekeeping back to re-clean the room. They said "right away" and no one ever showed up. Our friends, on another floor, wrote "dust me" on the desk in the dust and it was there for 2 days before they dusted the desk themselves!! The windows in the hotel were so dirty that you had trouble seeing out of them. We also had problems getting enough towels and wash cloths. Never could get more than one washcloth. Room service was good and the food was fine. We had a basic egg and bacon breakfast for two, one morning. (It cost $47.00 !!) The lobby was nice and the convention center was fine. It was close to everything downtown. It was just disappointing to have to deal everyday with cleanliness issues.
  4. :) I faxed ahead with my Hyatt passport number and requested a room with two beds. We had 3 adults traveling. The room was waiting when we arrived, with no problem at all. Close to everything. Clean room.
  5. Hi, I got the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf, Aug 26-27 for $65.00. Looking forward to it! :) Travelinmom
  6. :) We stayed at the Stanford Court on Nob Hill from April 19-April 24. We bid 70.00 per night and it was accepted. I was traveling with my senior parents. I called ahead and asked for adjoining rooms and gave the hotel our Marriott Rewards numbers. When we arrived earlier than the parents, the rooms were ready and as requested. They had it set up that my parents just had to pick up a key. The rooms were on the second floor, corner. They were very nice. Not small and very clean. The tv was cable and had lots of channels. Every morning they delivered tea or coffee and a newspaper at the time you requested to your door. We didn't have problems with early delivery. One morning the tea was not super hot, but still drinkable. Every night there was turndown service available. The cable cars were very convenient. Both lines intersected at the corner of our street, Clifornia and Powell. We were facing the street and had minimal noise. We found lovely cafes and diners two blocks from the hotel. We would walk down the hills to eat and ride the cable car back up. Chinatown was only a 2 block walk. Union square was a 3 block walk. Both areas, down hill! The ride to Fisherman's wharf was simple. Both cable car lines took us there. The cable car museum was a short walk from the hotel. (Downhill.) And a very interesting place to visit. The staff was courteous and accomodating. My senior citizen parents were very comfortable and getting around was not a problem. We were concerned, because they cannot walk uphill. The cable cars, trams, and buses were very easy to navigate. We bought 7 day passes, which made public transportation even easier. The hotel was so convenient and lovely. I will endeavor to stay there again.
