However there is a 3 star showing up as follows: Japantown/Civic Center Boutique High Speed Internet 85% positive reviews Is this the Carlton? If so that has a very positive tripadvisor rating so for that price I could be tempted. Any thoughts on that as an alternative?

I thought as much. In your opinion is that a good rate or are we likely to get a better deal nearer the time?

I'm happy with any of the zones that are good for tourists. In the past we've stayed in the Le Meridien which I think is in the Embarcadero area and the Courtyard Marriott which could be SoMa? 3.5 is perfectly fine. Thanks

Looking for 2 rooms from November 13th - 16th (3 nights). Preferably Union Square / Nob Hill / Finance District / Embarcadero/ SOMA areas. Not the Wharf. Prefer 4* but happy to go down to 3.5* and ideally pay no more than $80 per night. Are my expectations realistic? If so what strategy would you suggest? If not how much should I expect to go up to? Please can you help me ID a 3 star hotel for North Strip. Dates of travel - April 24 - April 27, 2 rooms. Coming up at $29 per room which seems very low. 75% of Hotwire customers recommend. Amenities: Casino, Fitness center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Golf, Tennis. If it could be Stratosphere or Circus Circus then I'm not going for it as it's a little too far out of the action. Thanks

Hi everyone I'm looking for some advice on the best bidding strategy for 2 rooms in a 4 star hotel for 3 nights 18th April to 21st April. The maximum I'd like to pay is $85 before taxes etc. Preferably not in the Wharf area, ideally Embarcadero. I can see several winning bids around this price but I wonder if it is a little too early for me to try. Thanks Tina :)

Got two rooms at $95 and a room for three people at $99. Holiday Inn SoHo (Chinatown) Dates of stay: 10/23/10 - 10/28/10 Facilities are Business Center, Hi Speed internet & Restaurant. 3.5 TA rating. Didn't think I would get anywhere this far in advance for $80. Reasonably happy - mid range reviews and excellent location. Not planning on spending time in the hotel other than to sleep/shower so I think this will work fine for us. Booked via the Better Bidding PRICELINE link :)

I'm now trying for rooms in Naples, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa....
