I have been bidding the past few days from $92 and up with 8 bids per try. Got it tonight for $120 on the last bid. One night only. Aloha gmc :)

As this the High Season in Hawaii you might find some deals if you wait for hotels and are not specific about where you stay but as car rentals are limited there now I would book when you see great price. Aloha gmc :)

In my experience it depends on you and the front desk. Yes a basic Priceline room is garden view/parking lot, but we do we go to Hawaii to stay in our room if you are using Priceline? I think not. However, be sure to join the hotel chain guest rewards club before arrival, then arrive in a good mood. Smile, be friendly and tell them you belong to the frequent guest program and ask for the best room they can give you. I have used my Marriott Rewards Card in Hawaii to get a free upgrades every time even though the room was booked thru Priceline. If you are coming from or connect at the West Coast the Front Desk staff in Hawaii always seems to like See's chocolates. You would be surprised how a small kindness can work wonders for you as they are usually hasseled by people who are jetlagged and tired and rude to them by the time they get to their hotel from points East and West. Give the aloha spirit to them and you shall receive in my experience. Aloha gmc :)

I just got this hotel. I have not seen it reported before. Its location is surrounded by hospitals. Dana Farber, Beth Isreal Deaconess, Brighams and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical Institute and the Children's Hospital of Boston. For those who need a place to stay while their loved ones are in these hospital might find this information useful. The address is 342 Longwood Avenue, Boston ,MA. The Longwood subway stop is 2.5 blocks away. From the info you have given this is the Grand Wailea. However you might find a better price for this property elseware or if you want to spend at least you might get this price next door at the Four Seasons which is a better deal at a better property. Up to You. Aloha gmc

Hi, I stayed there last year for a week on a PRICELINE bid of $110. I called the front desk a week before arriving and chatted with them asking about the place. I then called the front desk again a the day before I arrived to confirm and talked a bit. When I arrived to check in the lady at the front desk knew me from our previous conversation. I pulled out my Marriott Rewards card and recieved an automatic upgrade. I then paid about $39/night for an extra upgrade to an oceanfront room by the north pool. I had a great time. I got this on my free 2nd re-bid for a 3* after exhausting 8 bids for the 4* hotels in the area. I am happy. It is a good hotel and easy to get the Zinfandel Festival at Fort Mason the next day. FYI www.zinfandel.org gmc

Thanks to this board I was able to identify this hotel. The discount rate for this hotel through the Hyatt web site is $199. A 50% discount. Thanks. However Hotwire now shows the fitness icon again for this property. gmc
