  1. But you would have ended up at "Trump". The set of amenities and TripAdvisor information are a match for the Trump International Tower.
  2. Priceline updates/corrections: (There are also two previous posts I wrote over the Christmas holidays that were missed.) Orlando, FL: Airport The Rensaissance Orlando Airport has been upgraded to 3.5*. The Amerisuites Airport Northwest is now the 3* Hyatt Place Airport Northwest (which is already on the hotel list). The Holiday Inn Select Airport is now just a Holiday Inn. Disney Maingate - Celebration The Calypso Cay has been downgraded to 2*. The Home Suite Home is rated 2*. The Fun Spots Hotel at Fountain Park is now America's Best Inn Maingate East (still rated 1*). Downtown The Sheraton Downtown is now the Sonesta Hotel Orlando Downtown. The Embassy Suites has been upgraded to 3.5*. Kissimmee The Travelodge Suites Eastgate is in the Disney Maingate - Celebration zone, not this one. Maitland - Altamonte Springs The Hotel Altamonte Springs is now the Clarion Inn and Conference Center (still rated 2.5*). The Extended Stay Deluxe Maitland Summit is rated 2*. SeaWorld - International Drive - Convention Center The Doubletree Resort I-Drive has been upgraded to 3.5*. Universal Orlando Resort Area - International Drive North The Holiday Inn and Suites Universal is in the Seaworld - International Drive - Convention Center zone. The Holiday Inn I-Drive is now the International Palms Resort (still rated 2.5*) Portland, OR: The Hotel Fifty (Downtown) has been upgraded to 3.5*. Phoenix, AZ: The Orange Tree Golf Resort (North Scottsdale) has been mysteriously downgraded to 2.5*. Toronto, ON: Vaughan - North York The Westin Prince and Radisson East are in the North York East zone. The other hotels listed are in this zone. Vancouver, BC: The Cascadia Hotel and Suites is in the Granville Entertainment District zone, not the Downtown zone.
  3. When I tried the search, the 2.5* hotel also had the following TripAdvisor information: 3.5 rating, 300+ reviews (last reviewed January 2010). In light of this, my best guess is the Days Hotel and Conference Centre.
  4. I know very little about Edmonton, but I decided to check this out anyway. My best guess for the 2* hotel is the Travelodge Edmonton East; my best guess for the 2.5* hotel is the Ramada Limited Edmonton East/Sherwood Park. The Holiday Inn Express is a possibility for the 2.5* hotel, but less likely I think (most HIE's are now rated 3*). The Best Western is now the Coast Edmonton East, and offers complimentary breakfast on weekdays only (and would probably be rated higher than 2.5*). Franklin's Inn appears to lie outside of Hotwire's Edmonton East - Sherwood Park zone. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes.
  5. If you click through to the hotel details and then scroll down, do you see the following TripAdvisor information: 3.5 rating, 20+ reviews (last reviewed April 2009)? If so, my best guess for this hotel is the Country Inn and Suites Scottsdale. If you decide to book this hotel, please start your purchase from the Hotwire link on this site.
  6. Welcome to BetterBidding, spudrunner. What dates did you enter for this search? Also let us know if you are searching for something other than 1 room/2 adults/0 children.
  7. A number of people have asked for an ID of the 3* Downtown West hotel, but we've never been able to confirm its identity. My best guess has always been the Holiday Inn Midtown; if I'm right, that obviously doesn't do you any good. How close do you need to be to Rogers Centre? The Hyatt Regency is about as close as you're going to get using Hotwire (the Radisson Admiral is the only other hotel I can think of that comes up on Hotwire frequently and is comparably close). If you're willing to stay about a mile from Rogers Centre, the best deal on Hotwire right now is the 4* in Downtown Toronto East (Smoke Free, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, High-Speed Internet, Spa), which is a match for the Westin Harbour Castle.
  8. The hotel's identity has not yet been confirmed. My best guess is the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort & Casino. If you decide to book this hotel, please start your purchase from the Hotwire link on this site.
  9. I checked the website; the regular guest rooms at the Hotel Indigo don't even have fridges, let alone kitchenettes (which must include a sink as well as a refrigerator and microwave). Someone asked about a property with the same amenities and TA information about two months ago. My best guess at the time was the Holiday Inn Express Scottsdale, and it's still the best guess I can come up with now.
  10. If you change the HOTWIRE search parameters to 2 adults/1 child, the 5* hotel that comes up has the same amenities and rate, but shows the following TripAdvisor information: 4.0 rating, 260+ reviews (last reviewed December 2009). This is a better match for the Pan Pacific than Sutton Place (and, checking different dates on HOTWIRE, I found a listing for what has to be Sutton Place that shows 300+ reviews on TA for the hotel), so the Pan Pacific is my guess.
  11. I don't see the update. Please post your update as a reply to the Hotwire Clackamas topic.
  12. Are the amenities for the 3* hotel Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness, Restaurant, and Business? If so, I don't think that one is the Hampton Inn or La Quinta, as neither appears to have an on-site restaurant. Given that this hotel has both a restaurant and complimentary breakfast, my best guess is the Best Western Abercorn Inn.
  13. Welcome to BetterBidding, GP87. The Avalon is not in the Downtown Portland zone; it's the 4* hotel in the South Waterfront zone. As for the above hotel, the set of amenities is a match for the RiverPlace Hotel on Hotwire's old vacation packages and the TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 is also consistent with this hotel, so that would be my best guess. If you decide to book this hotel, please start your purchase from the Hotwire link on this site.
  14. If you change the search parameters to 3 adults, the 4* hotel that comes up has the above amenities plus Business, and the following TripAdvisor information: 4.0 rating, 420+ reviews (last reviewed November 2009). My best guess for this one is the Sheraton, though the Westin is a possibility as well.
  15. Priceline update for Seattle, WA: The Bellevue-Redmond zone has been split into Bellevue and Redmond-Kirkland. Seattle (Bellevue) 4* Hyatt 4* Westin 3.5* Hilton Bellevue 3.5* Sheraton Bellevue East 3* Coast Bellevue Hotel 3* Courtyard Downtown 3* Red Lion 2* Extended StayAmerica 2* Homestead Village Bellevue Seattle (Redmond - Kirkland) 4* Heathman Kirkland 3.5* Redmond Marriott Town Center 3* Residence Inn Bellevue (NE 29th Place; there is also a Residence Inn Bellevue/Downtown in the Bellevue zone) 2.5* Fairfield Inn Bellevue
  16. The amenities also match those of the Cedarbrook on HOTWIRE's old vacation packages, so I would concur with AaronJB's guess. That rate seems too good to be true; if this is a mistake, you may want to take advantage of it before it's fixed.
  17. Priceline updates: Dallas, TX: The Southfork Hotel (Plano East) has been upgraded to 3*. The Crowne Plaza (Galleria - Dallas North) has been upgraded to 3.5*. The Wyndham Garden (Park Central) is now the Best Western Hotel & Conference Center. The Radisson (Richardson) is now a Doubletree. Phoenix, AZ: The Tempe-ASU zone has been split into two zones: Tempe and Tempe South. Phoenix (Tempe) 3.5* Fiesta Resort 3.5* Legacy Golf Resort 3.5* Marriott Buttes 3.5* Sheraton Tempe/Phoenix Airport 3* Courtyard Downtown 3* Hyatt Place Phoenix Airport Amerisuites Phoenix Airport Phoenix (Tempe South) 3* Residence Inn 2.5* Innsuites Hotel and Suites 2* Towneplace Suites Tempe
  18. I bid for this on behalf of a friend; $44 was rejected. I started my bid from the PRICELINE link.
  19. "Bumping" just means sending a reply to this topic so that it moves up to the top of the list of topics in this forum, so your last response did the trick. This hotel hasn't been identified; my best guess is Terrible's Hotel and Casino. If you decide to book this hotel, please start your purchase from the Hotwire link on this site.
  20. Priceline updates for Canada: The Sheraton Parkway Toronto North (Markham) has been upgraded to 4*. The Comfort Hotel and Conference Centre (Victoria, BC) has been upgraded to 2.5*.
  21. You have plenty of rebid zones for both 4* and 3.5* bids (if you're unfamiliar with the concept, don't hesitate to confirm your rebid zones with us before you start bidding). However, rates on Hotwire have gone up further since you first posted, so I'm pretty sure that $70 won't be enough. However, it doesn't hurt to try, so... Bid $55 for 4* for Downtown North and Downtown South. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $60. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $65. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $70. If rejected, exit this bid and start a new bid of $55 for 3.5* Downtown North and Downtown South. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $60. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $65. If rejected, add a rebid zone and bid $70. Please start your bids from the Priceline link on this site, and let us know the results.
  22. Correction to that last post: the new zones are called East Mesa and West Mesa. Sorry about the mistake.
  23. Priceline has split its Mesa zone (Phoenix, AZ) into Mesa East and Mesa West. All reported hotels in the old Mesa zone are in the Mesa West zone.
  24. chris61417, Please conclude this Priceline Seattle topic by posting the details of your winning bid in that thread. Buckeyelotus, I agree with you that there's no need to lock yourself in this early unless you can get an exceptional deal. You may need to bid higher eventually, but I think that can wait.
  25. Welcome to BetterBidding, Diana. Judging by Hotwire's rates, $70 probably won't be enough either for a 4* hotel. Please read this topic about Priceline Rebidding if you haven't already. Then let us know how high you're willing to bid and we'll come up with a strategy.
