  1. Yes correct it is one of those 3 hotels for universal. The dates are something like august 4-7
  2. There is a 4 star hotel on hotwire for the start of august. The price is $71. The amenities are: restaurant pool fitness center high speed internet business center laundry We are looking for something in the universal area that allows you that perk of front lines or whatever it is that the special hotels offer. Does anyone know what this is or is there another hotel on hotwire or priceline that gives you the hotel with the perks? thanks
  3. Try this link: http://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/inde...39&HotelID=2070 You just missed out on $69 a night and a free upgrade. For 2 double beds I found it starting at $79 a night.
  4. when I check into la quinta(we call it la sh*ta) last november the first thing they did was try to sell me a timeshare. I was so disgusted it ruinned my entire day at disney.
  5. We just got back from disneyworld. We did not stay at the dolphin but did go down to that area to check it out. One word- incredible. The entire boardwalk of the dolphin, swan, yacht club, beach club, and boardwalk villas were around a lake which was beautiful. You can easily walk to epcot in about 5-10 minutes. There are restaurants and niteclubs all along the boardwalk and if you like icecream go to beaches and cream which I think is around the beachclub/yacht club area. Expensive icecream but well worth it.
  6. Just to let you know we stayed there last week for a night. Unless something changed this is the smaller doubletree which is about 1/4 mile from the larger doubletree. My kids called it the pineapple hotel because, well, it had a giant pineapple in the front. It was still a nice hotel for the money.
  7. I could scream. I looked at the star rating for priceline when doing hotwire. I thought by bidding on a 2 1/2* I would avoid the la quinta inn because I misread the priceline 2* which is la quinta. I HATED this hotel the last time I stayed at it. I hated the entire strip of hotels and restaurants and shops along side it. We stayed there for our last disneyworld trip and it totally ruinned our day. It was like cheesey central. They even tried to sell me timeshares at the front desk. If they try that crap again I will lose it. Good thing this is just for one night at the beginning of my trip and I have something to look foward to after I choke down the night. Sorry I had to rant.
  8. I feel really lucky. For $69 a night+ the fees of course we get the Massive renovated 4* Hilton at WalT Disney REsort. I tried originally for the dolphin but this will do. My wife screamed with joy when she heard we got this luxurious hotel.
  9. Ok I just bid on and won the 3.5 stars hotwire for $43 for one night feb 21-22. Doubletree Hotels Club Orlando-Lake Buena Vista 12490 Apopka Vineland Road Orlando, FL 32836 (407) 239-4646 Amentities include: restaurant, fitness, business center, and laundry This hotel is located at the entrance to downtown disney and the rates on their site start anywhere from $92-$106. The entire bill with taxes and fees came to $55 which is not a bad deal.
