  1. I am not sure what is going on at the moment; it seems that Priceline is working on the links and in the moment pulling all bonus-money. The new link I put up also does not say anything about bonus-money but SEEMS to apply it... Greetings - Dirk
  2. You are right; there is a new link on Cleverbidding.co.uk on the top. However I also expect these to go within the next days as it seems that Priceline does some "housecleaning" currently... Greetings - Dirk
  3. Well, it finally happened. The bonus money in the UK is gone, even two days early... Hope you all had the chance to use it while it was hot... Greetings - Dirk
  4. Hello, I do not know if there are many UK residents around here (other than me) using the UK-site of Priceline and their current bonus-money for hotels (officially only available to UK-residents). If you are, you may want to know that there are indications that the bonus-money is going to be history after 6/6. See this link here for more details. Greetings - Dirk P.S.: thereuare, if you think this is an inappopiate post or at the wrong location, feel free to delete, modify or move it...
  5. Needed some more stays for Hyatt's Faster Free Nights promo (hoping that Priceline stays do indeed count as they used to), so bid for Phoenix Downtown where there is currently only one hotel coming up (the Hyatt Regency - but watch out for the Wyndham Downtown that was converted from the Crowne Plaza on 5/15. and surely will participate anytime soon). Wanted to score a counter-offer with a lowball-bid to judge my cost/benefit-ratio and bid
  6. Finalized my summer-holiday plans today. We will do a short sidetrip from Phoenix to Las Vegas, and as we knew the Hyatt from our last year's holiday, we targetted that again. Afte weeks of unsuccessful bids for
  7. Sitting in the hotel right now, this is a nice deal. They even offered an upgrade (awful view of the bay and approaching aircraft) and free breakfast upon checkin and presentation of my Gold card. High Speed Internet is currently being installed at the hotel (Wayport) and CURRENTLY free... Room was decent in size, and had the usual interior (which looked a bit dated but was decent anyhow). Sound-isolation was a bit weak, but still OK. You could hear departing aircraft however (the trade-off for the bay-view room). Bathroom was nice also, and had the full range of toileteries you would expect. Coffee maker was provided. Parking is 13$ a night, and the hotel operates a scheduled shuttle to the airport (three times an hour, shared with the Embassy Suites across the street). All in all a decent value for the ~30$ per night. Greetings - Dirk
  8. I know of US-residents using the bonus-money, but I have no idea how they do it. I have problems using my Visa-card as this does not get accepted, but my Amex-card (blue) does work. Greetings - Dirk
  9. Needed a single night as a stopover on my way to the Joshua Tree National Park and becoming more and more of a "snob" in regard to hotels, decided to try no less than a Resort for that one night. Started at
  10. Actually I am not a US-resident, so I used my German adress as usual. I am not sure how one has to set up his US-adress to get it work with Priceline.co.uk, but I know for sure that there are ways to score a winning bid...sorry I cannot be of more help! Greetings - Dirk
  11. For a few days I was searching for a hotel in the Flagstaff area, and originally was looking for something more upscale than a 2*. However since I found some favourable reports on the most likely candidate (which ideed came up and as an added bonus also features free breakfast), taking into account that this is just a "place to sleep" for a night and wanting to make use of the bonus-money, I decided to go ahead and settle for a two star. Started with 6GBP, but was rejected, raised to 8 GBP (using a different card), accepted at: Fairfield Inn Flagstaff 2005 South Milton Road Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 928-773-1300 Check-In Date: Friday, 15 August 2003 Check-Out Date: Saturday, 16 August 2003 Zone: Flagstaff Your Offer Price:
  12. Just a small feedback to that: I bought the Summerfield Suites SFO through Hotwire last year (based on the "S" sign and the assumption that the other amenities listed could only lead to that hotel or the Embassy Suites), and when checking the amenities later after the stay (when the amenities still showed up after the purchase), they had modified the amenities NOT to show the "S"-sign any more. The Summerfield Suites SFO is a three star, btw. In addition to that I would buy into your assumption that it's the HGI. Seems that the HGI-chain also participates with Hotwire and Priceline, at least to some extend (did not see that chain come up too often). I finally ended up using Priceline.co.uk this time and went with a two-star in Flagstaff which was the Fairfield Inn as expected. Paid 8GBP plus the 10GBP bonus for each night. 6 GBP was rejected, so I guess I was close (for those GBP-impaired... :) : The total including bonus-money is about 28$). Greetings - Dirk
  13. Well, these are pretty much non-helpful in my opinion: - Restaurant(s) At least one restaurant is located on the hotel premises. - Pool(s) Hotel features at least one pool area. (Note: This amenity offering may be seasonal. Please check hours/availability directly with the hotel.) - Fitness Center Hotel features exercise equipment. - Laundry Facilities (self-service) Hotel offers guests access to a coin-operated washer/dryer. The zone is Central Flagstaff, and I have been to that area a few times already, but I have no clue what hotel this could refer to. I'm pretty certain it's not the Embassy Suites...their opaque-rates are much higher than what Thanks for the Expedia tip...I will look into that! Greetings - Dirk
  14. Hi, does anyone have an idea what hotel could be hidden behind the 3* in Flagstaff? My guess would be either a Hilton-property (but then which...Embassy Suites are usually 3.5*, and I do not know if the Garden Inn does participate) or the Radisson, but that would be pretty expensive at 65$ for my dates (usually goes for 20$ less on Priceline). I probably can get the Flagstaff Fairfield Inn for ~ 7 GBP on the Priceline.co.uk site using the bonus-money, but I would prefer something more upscale. Anybody got some ideas??? Greetings - Dirk
