  1. Booked for family christmas party on Sunday...thought we'd spend Saturday enjoying ourselves. Amenities listed: Free Parking, Indoor pool(s), Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant, Business Center, Hi Speed Internet, accessible to blind, accessible to deaf, accessible path of travel, in room accessiblity, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking, roll in shower. As always, used the HOTWIRE link provided here. Thanks again for your wonderful service, helps eliminate the guesswork.
  2. Thanks! Confirmed, is the Hyatt Regency. Used your HOTWIRE link, of course. Probably should update the hotel ID pages...especially with the new HOTWIRE amenity list, such as indoor pool.
  3. Only additional is all the accessible stuff..accessible to blind, accessible to deaf, accessible path of travel, in room accessiblity, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking, roll in shower. "accessible jazz" seemed easier... In full, Free Parking, Indoor pool(s), Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant, Business Center, HI Speed Internets, accessible to blind, accessible to deaf, accessible path of travel, in room accessiblity, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking, roll in shower.
  4. I think this is the downtown Hyatt Regency, just looking for clarification. That is the one we want. Lexington Northwest Dec 29-30 2012 $76 3.5 Star, amenities are: Free Parking, Indoor pool(s), Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant, Business Center, HI Speed Internets, Accessible Jazz. 95% happy folks. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for all your help, this site is wonderful! The Hyatt didn't look all that appealing on their website is why. Hilton looks like a far nicer facility to me. Don't know that for sure, never stayed at either one. :) That said, we made different plans for this weekend.
  6. I wouldn't mind the McCormick place if it was the Hilton...Would like to stay around $100, but a pool is a must have, thus I don't tend to use Priceline so much.
  7. States 4 star, $83 per night for May 28-30th, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, and Hi Speed Internet. Also states 90% recommended. Any clues as to if it is the Hilton, or the Hyatt Regency?
  8. 3.5 $61 room. Fitness, pool, rest., biz, and internet. 95% happy peeps.
  9. Ended up, this morning, finding the 3.5 downtown Indy with the same above info, but, with the 95% approval rating...for $61 Which told me it was likely the Hilton on West Market Street, which, has an indoor pool. Bingo. Booked it, Danno.
  10. Comfort Suites is 3 star, $75, non smoking, breakfast, gym, pool, etc...from your HOTWIRE link. Known quantity meaning that if I book that, I know I'll end up at the Comfort Suites...if I book the 3.5 star, who knows where I'll end up...my luck, the place with no indoor pool. Just curious if anyone had stayed there recently...
  11. Is the Confort Suites City Centre at $75 for the same night worth the $$? Pics show it to be nice, it's a known value, all that. See Bedbugs in the reviews, kind of scares me off the place. Sheraton no indoor pool. Comfort Suites the winner?
  12. Looking at...thru here, of course 3.5 $60 room. Fitness, pool, rest., biz, and internet. 85% happy folks should be the tell, but I don't know which one of the three it is. An indoor pool is crucial, anyone help? Thanks. Always been a help in the past.
  13. This wound up being the Sunny Shores Resort, in Daytona Beach Shores. Total cost for both nights, tax included, was $106. Nice little "old school" throwback to the 60's. Clean rooms, size is more than enough, the pool area is huge and right on the ocean. The two complaints that I have are: 1) If someone would have taken 15 minutes a day to clean the pool area with a blower, it would be perfect, especially for the price paid. It's not filthy, but, if you are a clean freak like I am, you'll notice that it's not "polished". 2) Hopefully you will not have the Parent of the Year there, with their group of 5 kids, all under 10, two of them not above 3, with NO supervision at the pool. Just bizarre. Ended up calling security. We left the pool area for dinner at that time, with another few couples of adults still there. Truly an indictment on society. Shameful. When and if we ever need a place on the way to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area again, we will stay here.
  14. Stayed here last June for two nights, and would pretty well agree with everything posted. A great value for the money, the rooms are adequate, the pools are warm, clean, and well maintained, and it's right in the middle of everything. For the money, and for a short stay, hard to beat.
  15. Hotel is 2.5 star in South Daytona Beach...$55 per night, retail is $99, stay is 5/10-5/12. Yes, I used the link on this site!! Amenities are - Beachfront, Comp Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Laundry, and Hi Speed Net. Any help would be appreciated. I'm probably going to book anyway, leaving on a cruise on that Monday from Ft. Lauderdale, figured we'd drive all day Sat, check in on the beach Sat night, spend the day Sun and the morning Mon in the sand, then have a short drive to the cruise. Thanks in advance.
  16. Just to review the trip, since I'm here... Homewood was a WONDERFUL place to stay! Killer breakfast, a full kitchen, a block from the subway, when we return to Chicago, will definately look to stay here! The pool is indeed near the top, peaceful setting, great downtown view, laid back with a few beers, and watched the workers on the Trump facility. Ended up staying two nights, was able to work that out with the staff at Homewood. There was a bit of construction going on, nothing of any concern. Room was very nice, having two rooms really makes such a huge difference... Have snooped around looking to find this place again, but to no avail...it's showed up a few times, but nothing in a time where we could get away for a few days. Hopefully next summer!! Get to Wrigley see a game or two. Had to walk by the Tremont just for giggles....DO NOT STAY THERE!! Place is a toilet.
  17. Tried to book thru Hotwire, BTW, I can confirm that Hotwire now lists the Millenium as a 3.5 star...anyway, attempted to book thru Hotwire for $44, went thru the process, and twice after pressing the "buy" button, I was sent to a page that said "due to blah blah blah, the itinerary you requested could not be processed.... Did some digging on your Priceline options, found the same hotel, $40 seemed to be the "Magic" number, and bingo! Saved $4! I live near Cincinnati, and we are going to see Bruce Springsteen on 3/22, I figured that we'd go ahead and make a day of it. Drop our bags at the hotel, I'll park under Fountain Square for $6, make the one block walk back, and we will have a ball. Figure that the $60 total is cheaper than a DUI... :) :) :o
  18. Last time I'll pester anyone.... Your HOTWIRE link shows a South Indianapolis Hotel for 3/24-3/25, for $38. Amenities are - Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, and Golf Nearby. Anyone know?
  19. I can now certianly see why you want people to post what Hotwire says that the amenities are after winning. Most of the Indy area ones do not show up here. I would be even more nice if folks could get on here afterwards and give details about things like indoor pools, parking (especially downtown), and hotels that they loved, and hated. Great site! Keep it up!
  20. I figured that the downtown one was the Hilton Garden. I was also pretty sure that the 2* one would have an outdoor pool, which won't work. Any ideas on a hotel in the $40-$50 dollar range with an indoor pool? Does not have to be a fancy place. Just somewhere in Indy with a 100% certainty of a nice indoor pool. Really appreciate the help.
  21. More concerned about the pool being indoor than anything else.
  22. Thanks a million!!! Any idea on where to park for less than an appendage? It says nothing on their site regarding parking.
