Bid $45, rebid $50, rebid $55, up to $70 through various methods. All rejected. Will wait 3 days and go through it all again. Anyone have any ideas why rooms are tight? Appears Hyatt comes up often at those bids. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have had pretty good experiences with Hyatt. Their policy is to match a competing rate and discount that rate 20%. The great thing about Hyatt is you can call them, tell them whcih web page where you found the lower rate than Hyatt.com and whicle you wait on the phone (approx 10 min.) they will tell you if the rate qualifies andgive the the discounted rate on the phone. I recently booked the Park Hyatt Philadelphia; Hyatt.com rate was $208, Expedia was 179, and after the phone call, I was given the rate of $143.20.
You will really enjoy the hotel. The restaurant: Vu is wonderful as is the "view". If you have a chance, check out the dessert called "Chocolate Skyline". Enjoy yourself in NJ :)
Bid $31, rejected, rebid $36 rejected, counteroffer of $52, rebid $42, accepted. Didn't see this hotel listed, so please add. Will try to post review after stay. Hotel is called Sheraton Gateway Suites. Great site, keep up the good work :)
First bid of $38 was rejected, PL would give free bid if increased by $11. I rebid at $42 and it was accepted. this is a nice hotel, close to the airport for early morning flight.
Thanks for the $50/$50 link. Reserved at Brasserie-excellent food and service. Was shown on Sex and the City several weeks ago. Can't wait to return. This site is the best. Not only tips with PL and Hotwire, but links to restaurants too.
First time at this hotel. It is a large convention type hotel with 2 restaurants and a bar within. Good location on 34th St, about 10 min. from UofFla. Several chain type restaurants with 1 mile of hotel. Room was large, clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very nice upon checkin and even gave the HHonors points, but no breakfast eventhough I am Gold. For the price, $40; it is alot nicer than the chained hotels right off the inerstate. Would happily stay there again, especially for the price.
Don't know which hotel is which but if you are going to the resorts (Univesal, Sea World, etc.) you really don't want to stay by MCO. One if the few beauties of Orlando is that there are plenty of hotel rooms in the area you want to be. Many hotels near the resorts offer free transportation to the resorts. This saves about $10/day. Spend the extra money on the hotel or gifts. The MCO hotels will require about 30-60 minutes of driving, depending on traffic and possibly some tolls. I live near Orlando and am very familiar with the area. Hope this helps.
