  1. Hello there! Just found a car for $29/day fees and taxes included ($13.95 + 15.11) on HOTWIRE. I have auto insurance in my CC, so don't plan to buy any additional... My question is: is there any obligatory insurance that you have to buy? Or can I be confident that this rate is all I'll need to pay, with nothing else in the agency at pick-up? Thanks!
  2. Yellowdog, I've found an even better deal for a car rental on HOTWIRE. Do you know if there may be any insurance issue with them also? Thanks!
  3. For my win at the Miami Marriott Doral they don't offer shuttle service, I guess renting a car will be the best option in terms of transportation. PRICELINE offers a car for $26/day, which for what I've heard is the price of the cab. I don't know how much as taxes beyond this rate, though. Anybody knows?
  4. Thru PRICELINE link from this site. The Hotel seems great, and it appears to be a good deal for the price. However, it seems that there is no Airport Shuttle, although it is on the Airport Area, which in the end is bad for me because it's going to be just a sleep-over to catch a flight next morning. Little disapointed...
  5. Amenities Resort Boutique Hotel Casino Airport Shuttle Fitness CenterPool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Spa Services Thanks for advising, Yellowdog! I think it`s a good deal indeed. Saw it in Expedia for $160... Used this site`s HOTWIRE link to start the deal. Regards
  6. Yellowdog, I've done some research and I'm very inclined to take this offer on the Green Valley Ranch. I've learned that they charge a $25/day Resort Fee, but still $85 seems a good deal for that Resort. And it seems I won't get a 5* on the strip for that rate anyway (at least not for now). What I'd still like to know is regarding the parking at the strip.... These self-park casino hotels with free parking that you told me about, could you give me some exemples? Thanks
  7. I've seen in some reviews on TA that a $25.99/nt/rm resort fee applies on Green Valley Ranch Resort. Does anyone know if that's true, and if it is an extra cost besides the Hotel Rate and Taxes on Hotwire? Thanks!
  8. Thanks, Yellowdog! I'll take a look at that... I'll let you know when I decide to take some action. Regards
  9. Just did some research and it seems to match The South Point, is that right? Any comments about this Hotel? Thanks again!
  10. 4-star hotel in Near Strip South This hotel features the following amenities: Casino Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Traveler rating 4.5 out of 5 Based on 740+ customer reviews (Last reviewed March 2009) I`d appreciate any help! As usual, I`ll keep using hotwire and PRICELINE links from this site. Thanks a lot, once again!
  11. Thanks for the heads up, Aaron! I started bidding today, and got no luck yet. Shouldn't I wait for the last minute to bid, I don't think I must rush either. I'll keep trying.... Regards!
  12. bids rejected from $60 up to $71. used your PRICELINE link.... no luck this time, though.
  13. Yes, the accepted bids generally were for The Trump. But none of them matched my dates yet. This will be my first time in Vegas, so I don't know much about the Hotels there. For the complanits I've seen about The Trump, I think it is ok for me, yes. However, if you do have some advise, I'd be glad to hear it... I'll be travelling with my wife, by car, from LA and to Yosemite Park. Planning on going to some Cirque du Soleil shows there, and making a day trip to Grand Cannion. Regarding the Hotel, I am looking for a good one located on/near the Strip. Initially I'd rather get a 5*, but I don't want to spend more than $80 per night, so I won't mind having to downgrade to a nice 4* Hotel. I just realized that, as I'll have a car, parking is an issue... Do you know if Hotels on the Strip provide free parking for their guests? Thanks!
  14. Given the great supply of Hotel rooms in Las Vegas, and that it should hardly be sold out in a May midweek, is it correct to infer that I'd have a bigger chance of having a lower bid accepted if I waited to bid closer to my date of travel? I am going to Las Vegas on May 17th to 20th by the way, and I'm aiming at getting a 5* Hotel on the Strip. I've seen here some bids around $75 accepted, and that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks and regards, Luis
  15. Thanks a lot for the heads up! Didn't know that... Regards
  16. Hello there! I am looking for a 5* Hotel in Las Vegas, and checked that on regular Priceline listing there are four of them, all on the north side of The Strip. They are: The Venetian, Trump Hotel, Palazzo Resort, and Winn. However, when I go to the "Name your own Price" area, it lists that there are 5* Hotels on the "Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South" as well. How can that be? Do they have Hotels at the "Name your own price" area that they don't show on their regular listings? Thanks and regards, Luis
  17. Oh, I see... I'm not used to Hotwire. Now beggining to understand how it works... Thanks! Regards.
  18. I have a question. How do you know it is guaranteed not to get the Trump when you take a 5* at HOTWIRE? Thanks and regards.
  19. one night, may16/17. used the forum link to PRICELINE page. got rejected @ $45, accepted $48 regards
  20. After trying for several days the 3* and 4* Hotels, bidding up to US$ 130, and having no luck, I finally decided to try the 2.5*. And just got a 2.5* Hotel - Holiday Inn Express Plantation - for US$ 89. Bid US$ 76 and nothing, rebid US$ 89 and got it. Thru savingsbarn.com link.
  21. Just got it, thru savingsbarn.com link. Bid U$ 41 nothing, US$ 46 nothing, U$ 51 and got it.
  22. Thanks for the info. Yes, this is a merely shopping trip, as it is 2-day extension of a vacation trip to Playa del Carmen - Carretera Maya, in Mexico. And, as my wife is pregnant, it is much more confortable to stay in the Sawgrass Mills area. So I'm not considering the option of staying a little bit further, even though the access to the mall is pretty simple. I've checked the conditions for a reservation in Hotwire, using your betterchecker tool, and I got US$ 162 for a 3* hotel, US$ 239 for a 3.5* and US$ 305 for a 4*. My goal is to get a 4* or a 3* hotel in that area and pay not more than US$ 100. I've tried again today and got nothing, bidding up to US$ 112 for a 4* and US$ 103 for a 3*. What would you suggest me to do? Should I keep trying every day, or maybe wait a few days to see if the Hotels let more rooms avaiable for priceline? Thanks again and regards, Pre
  23. No, I don't have any back up reservation yet. I didn't expect it to be so hard to get reservations for these dates. Why are the prices so much higher for these dates? Is there any event scheduled for that period? How much do you think I should bid to get the room for this category/dates? Thanks a lot. Pre
  24. Tried west ft lauderdale 4* and 3*, using 5 rebid zones and got no luck. Bid as much as US$ 101 for a 4* and US$ 92 for a 3* and nothing. I am looking for a Hotel near the Sawgrass Mills Shopping Mall. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks and regards, Pre
  25. Got the Le Meridien Montparnasse for USD111 from April 27th to 29th. I've used the Savingsbarn.com. regards
