  2. For the record I added two hotels in SPI area for September 2008. I scored the La Quinta Inn for $61.00 per night and the La Copa Inn and Resort for $80.00 per night. These properties are related and look exactly the same from the interior and room perspective. I booked these rooms using the Betterbidding links and was very happy with the result. Good luck and continue to use the Betterbidding links to keep this site going! REgards, Keoni :)
  3. Used Betterbidding PRICELINE Link. 10/20/2008 There are no rebid zones for Charleston so I trolled the water with an opening bid for a 3.5 star at $50.00. Response was not accepted but told me if I could increase my bid by $14.00 I could bid again right away without changing anything. Since there are no re-bid zones, and my dates are not flexible, I decided to wait 24 hours and try again. 10/21/2008 Bid 3.5 * in Charleston at $55 and Yipee!!! :) My offer was accepted. Priceline offered to extend the stay for the same price but alas I will be moving on the next morning. Thanks BB for another great deal! Add this hotel to your list of wins. Room $55.00 + $14.42 (taxes/fees) = $69.42 for a Priceline 3.5 star. Aloha, Keoni :)

  9. Posting New Properties Used BB link for PRICELINE. When Priceline first responded it displayed the La Quinta and La Copa at the 2.5 star level. The La Quinta more than doubled in price over the weekend nights so I decided to split the bid to get the least expensive price for Thursday night. Bidding as follows: Bid South Padre Island, 2.5 *, 3 rooms, $60.00 Not Accepted Rebid zone number 1 $61.00 Congrats, Your bid was Accepted. 11. Swag, I just took a taxi from the Airport to French Quarter on 13 September (yesterday) and the rate is still $28.00 but the fuel surcharge is $2.00. I have never been to any other major city where the taxi rate is fixed. The sign on the window with the charges did not seem new but with hurricane Ike they may hike the surcharge again. Regards, Keoni
  12. I've stayed in both and Hyatt wins hands down!!!! You scored what I believe to be the best bargain of any hotel deal in the World! Enjoy! Regards, Keoni :)
  13. I stayed at the Peppermill in December and was given a Tower Room at the $40.00 per night price tag.
  14. The Metro Shuttle service is to/from the Old Town Alexandria King Street Metro station which is 18 - 20 blocks from the hotel vice 2.1 miles to Reagan National. Regards, Keoni :)
  15. I went to Priceline via the SavingsBarn and requested my dates in September. The matrix of hotels available indicated a 4 Star Hilton on St. Charles Street in the Downtown district for $77.00 as a special Priceline deal. I checked the hotel website and this is only a few blocks from the Quarter so, Hmmmm.... Gotta Negotiate at this point! :) Bid 4* French Quarter $55.00, Not Accepted Add Re-bid zone 1 $57.00, Not Accepted Add Re-bid zone 2 $58.00, Not Accepted Add Re-bid zone 3 $59.00, Not Accepted Add Re-bid zone 4 $61.00, Not Accepted Add Re-bid zone 5 $65.00, Not Accepted I went to the Hilton Website just to see what was available. I was able to get this same hotel as a cancellable backup for (AARP Rate) of $71.00 per night plus tax directly from the Hilton Website. I could have booked it at the non-refundable/non-changeable Net Direct rate of $67.00 per night but then it wouldn't be cancellable and since I have plenty of time until the trip to continue trying the French Quarter I will use this backup as my umbrella and keep playing the lotto for the French Quarter with Priceline. If I hit I will report back. Regards, Keoni :)
  16. Started my trip at SavingsBarn looking at B-more hotels on Hotwire. Decided to move to Priceline. Bid 3* BWI Airport $40, rejected add rebid zone $45, rejected add rebid zone $50, rejected add rebid zone $55, rejected add rebid zone $57, CONGRATS!!!!! Your offer was accepted! 2 rooms @ $57.00 = $114.00 + $22.98 taxes and fees = $136.98 or $68.49 per room Aloha, Keoni :)
  17. Started at SavingsBarn.com, Bid 3* 20 November Airport $55.00 Added rebid for Jersey City $60.00 Added rebid for Elizabeth $65.00 Accepted at the Airport Marriott. I can beat the traffic and drive up after work on Tuesday night! Aloha, Keoni :)
  18. Looked tonight and only saw availability for one night. Thanks for the help but for such a short stay, and since there are three adults, I will stick with the Hilton Penn Station Newark. Watch the Macy's Turkey Day parade, we'll be the ones waving with the big grin! Aloha, and thanks for all you do! Any current recommendations for dining in Hoboken/JC? Regards, Keoni :)
  19. Thereyouare, The rate I have is $139 + $20 per nite tax, with $21 per day parking... Regards, Keoni :)
  20. Added update for the Mariott Hotel at Dulles Airport. Also, my NYC visit entries are under Priceline New Jersey as I am trying for Hyatt on the Hudson. Regards, Keoni
  21. Marriott Washington Dulles Airport 45020 Aviation Drive Dulles, District of Columbia 20166
  22. Went to Savingsbarn, AS ALWAYS, and began looking at PRICELINE for my dates of 1 - 3 Dec 2007 for RENO 4*. I was offered 4* ATLANTIS for $60.00 on Saturday night, and $39.00 for Sunday night for an average of $50.00 per night. I opted to go for "Name Your Own Price" and let Captain Kirk negotiate me a deal... I offered the following, 4* for 12/1/2007 - 12/3/2007 $40.00 per night. Yipee Ki Yay!!!! Your price accepted and total is $40.00 x 2 = $80.00 + 18.21 Tax/Fees = 98.21 for two nights. Although previously identified as a 3*, this is a 4*, Peppermill Hotel and Casino, 2707 South Virginia Avenue, Reno, Nevada 89502. Priceline then offered me an Economy Car for $11.00 per day so I snatched it quick as a wink for 2 days, $22.00 Plus $12.82 tax for a total of $34.82 for two days. I tried to change the deal to only take the Rental Car for one day because the hotel has a shuttle from the airport, but interestingly enough, the price was exactly the same for one day, as two days. I hit the back arrow key and grabbed the car for both days so once again I am pleased as punch with my Better Bidding/Savings Barn experience. Now if I can just work out the details for my 75th Anniversary Visit to the Radio City Rocketts Christmas Show! Maybe I will bunk with THEREYOUARE! Aloha, Keoni :)
  23. Also on HOTWIRE there is a 3.5* in the exact same zone with the EXACT same ammenities as the 4* yet it is only $49.00 per night. Any guess as to this property and if it might be worth saving $30.00 per night for 1/2 a star less? Regards, Keoni :)
  24. Manjuenyu, Your original post says you are going to Lake Tahoe. The area you are bidding on in RENO is about 35 miles north of North Lake Tahoe, Nevada and 60-62 miles north of South Lake Tahoe, California. If your intent is to spend your time at the lake or the casino's down in the Tahoe area you may wish to re-think your bidding zones. Regards, Keoni :)
  25. DJPATAKA, Sorry but I have nothing to report as I was not able to make the trip as planned. Regards, Keoni
