  1. pfhouger. PRICELINE only guarantee a room for two adults. That could mean one bed. Is this a risk you're willing to take? HOTWIRE could be an option for you. On HOTWIRE can you search for a triple room. And you have a guarantee for a room that sleeps 3 adults. What do you think? YellowDog.
  2. Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for the stay. YellowDog.
  3. Shusha - Can please start with follow-up your Hotwire Toronto Stay first. And then bump this thread. YellowDog.
  4. Hello amma! No need for you to be present at check in. Just put in your sisters name when booking. But she must be 21 and have a valid credit card. YellowDog.
  5. Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a match for the Gaylord Palms. So that would be my best guess. There is no 3.5* with the listed amenties and price. But there is a 3* that match your post. Please doublecheck the star rating for this hotel. Hotwire tends to have some system error for the moment. Someone will get back to you with this hotelYellowDog.
  6. Hello boga! I did a search for your dates with 2 adults/2 children but I can't get a clean math. But at this stage my thoughts leans to the Holiday Inn Burbank. In my second search. I alterd the search to 4 adults and in this search I get a clean match for the Holiday Inn Burbank for the same price ($69) as you had on 2 adults/2 children. So my best guess for this hotel is the Holiday Inn Burbank. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this. YellowDog.
  7. Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for the stay. And the full list of HOTWIRE amenties. YellowDog.
  8. Hello karenyan! I would like to start with to say that I don't know the Double Tree Chelsea hotel and the bed configurations for the rooms. My answer is for the general HOTWIRE rules This could mean one that you only will get one bed. Are you willing to take the chance? I you book for 6 people won't the hotel asume that your party is 4 people. You will get 2 rooms that sleeps 3 people/each. But a room for for 3 people could mean 1 bed + 1 pull-out couch or roll-away bed a room for for 3 people could mean 1 bed + 1 pull-out couch or roll-away bed No, the best option is to book 2 rooms with 4 adults/room. -------------------- Now, like I said. I don't know the Double Tree Chelsea. So maybe someone can shine some light over the rooms? You can also call the hotel and ask what kind of rooms they have and how they handle 4 people in one room. also post your dates for the stay, maybe someone got a better option/suggestion for you Please use the boards HOTWIRE link for your bookings. YellowDog.
  9. Mej5 See al-canada's answer. And follow the advice to search for diffrent combos like 3 adults, 2 adults + 1 child etc. And see what happens. One senario could be that Hilton has loaded lower rates for 2 adults to the HOTWIRE booking system or maybe Sheraton now have a "positive" booking ratio so they have increased the HOTWIRE rate and Hilton got cheaper in the system. al-canada I have done this several times to get the hotel I want. I have never been asked. If they ask (not likley), just say that the rest of the party will join later.YellowDog.
  10. ladoo + Admin I'm sorry to make this thread a bit longer :) But this is the time I usally going to Orlando, I'm going two weeks later this time. so I thought I should share some info. I looked at the Walt Disney World Hilton rates in the Resort level. They have typical PRICELINE rates for your dates. I have gotten the Hilton 2 times end of April, 2007 $55 + 2008 $60. Consider to try $50 - 55 - 60 in the resort level. Before going $55 for a 3.5* The hilton is a very nice hotel if you can hit it for this kind of money. You're welcome to do that!I'm sorry to interrupt the going process! YellowDog
  11. Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for the stay. YellowDog.
  12. Used the boards HOTWIRE link to book this. The Westin Beach Resort 3.5* 321 N. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd. (Route A1A) Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 $90/night. 5/25/09-5/28/09. Amenities same as the board. This is down to 3.5*. I got a mail from HOTWIRE today with the downgrade. Got $25/night HotDollars credit, so this mean I'm paying $65/night. I normaly don't act this early in this zone. But GF wanted it since they just are re-open from a complete renovation. This is former Sheraton Yankee Trader. So I have to say thanx to her tonight for nagging at me to get it :) It's a good friday my friends :) YellowDog.
  13. Meridian I took a search today but no match :) . And the TA rating is now updated to 280 and 3/5 for the hotel you look at. It's pretty accurate but there's allways a span since the rating isn't static. Big no when ID hotels. TA uses a diffrent grading system. Even if you can find hotels at TA and HOTWIRE with same * is this way not to recommend. A typical example from your TA list is the Marco Polo Beach Resort this is rated 2.5* by HOTWIRE and 3* by TA. If just looking at the TA rating. I would rule out Marco Polo Beach Resort and the HoJo. I can't and will not comment on the Deauville Beach Resort since I don't know the area well enough. But just looking at the TA rating is sound like a pretty solid 3* hotel. And you should allways take the TA ratings with a grain of salt. Sure, it's a clue but people bash hotels for the wrong color in the lobby and bad weather. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this. Good luck and keep the board updated. YellowDog.
  14. Please start with follow-up your Hotwire NY Airport thread so we get a closure on that. You must be open to accept any hotel with your preferd star rating in the downtown zone. And that could mean not the closest hotel for the Amtrak station. Since you can't target hotels on PRICELINE is maybe HOTWIRE better for you if you need to be close to the station? The board can "many times" ID the hotel before you decide to buy it or not. If you still want to go with PRICELINE so please read this link to start with: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained Also post you maximum budget for a 4* vs 5* hotel. Or is $80 for both 4* and 5* hotels? YellowDog.
  15. Shivster This is a match for the W New York (Lexington Ave.) So that would be my best guess. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this hotel. YellowDog.
  16. Hello tex winter! Can you please post your date(s) for the stay. YellowDog.
  17. Welcome to the board! How are you trying to write your phone number? Just use numbers without spaces. Don't use + or - between the numbers. Sure, you can start bidding now. But please start a new thread for your stay. Just post if you need further help. YellowDog.
  18. The Wynn got a good "history" for upgrades. Hey, this is your first Vegas bet :) Go for it and report back. PS. Have you booked the Wynn via HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? YellowDog.
  19. Yay! The HOTWIRE TA rating looks to be back and is updated for March (in the areas I have looked) :) YellowDog.
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding! I order to help you the board needs to know how many rooms and how many adults per room you have searched for. Please also post your date(s) for the stay. YellowDog.
  21. Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you talking about the Island Grand or Sandpiper? You know that PRICELINE only guarantee a room for 2 adults? That could mean one bed. And in the 3* level is the Sandpiper no slam dunk win for predicted hotels. Maybe HOTWIRE is a better option for you. You can search HOTWIRE for a quad room. Just post if you need any further help with your stay. YellowDog.
  22. Welcome to BetterBidding! No, there is no way to see this on screen. No search for hotels has been made at that stage. Is the Marriot the only Hotel you're willing to stay at? YellowDog.
  23. HOTWIRE changes per VP. May 15-17 Daytona (Daytona Beach - Ormond Beach) 3* La Playa Resort and Suites is now 2.5* 3* Surfside Hotel is now 2* Daytona (Daytona Beach South - Daytona Beach Shores) 2.5* Sunny Shores Resort is now 2*
  24. Hello lamonte86! 1) please keep all posts for the same stay in one thread. 2. Allways follow-up your stay so you don't leave a thread open. Please look in your profile to close previous threads.
  25. Welcome to BetterBidding! Please read this to start with Should i Bid Early or Close to Arrival Date Are you ready to lock in your stay this far in advance? You know that you can't cancell your confirmed PRICELINE or HOTWIRE stay. Please post if you need any further help. YellowDog.
