I've checked some review sites that said this hotel is currently under renovation, so maybe that's why the prices are where they are right now. We'll see.

I bid $35 and $40 again and again for Council Bluffs or Downtown Omaha (I needed to be near the airport for a 5:15 AM flight). There are certainly less expensive rooms in other parts of the Omaha area.
Anyway, I was bidding $35 and $40 every day for about 20 days. Finally I increased my bid to $44 yesterday and won.
The best room rate available for this hotel is about $51, so I didn't save that much.

The confusion on the zones was entirely based on the way Priceline presented it. I asked for airport, and they gave me the choice of Ft. Mitchell as an option. But the hotel is actually in the Ft. Mitchell zone. Evidently, Fort Wright, where the hotel is located, is just the other side of the Interstate from Ft. Mitchell. But it's about a mile from Florence.
Sorry for the confusion.
Fort Wright is just south of Covington, KY, between I-475 and downtown Cincinnati, closer to the Riverfront than the airport is.
I guess I could have started with a lower bid. $40 was my first bid and it was immediately accepted. After taxes, I'm paying $53.67.

AFTER I discovered the brand name, I did a search for reviews of this property and they were OVERWHELMINGLY negative.

It's true that the majority of people who feel strongly enough about something that it's worth their time to write a review would be people who had a bad experience. But I'm not in a happy disposition about the prospects of staying here. But I've already paid, so I guess I'm out of luck.
I'll write more after I've stayed there.
