  5. Success...booked it through your HOTWIRE link. Price changed a bit to $210/nt before taxes/fees. Thanks again
  6. Thanks for confirming Park South. Don’t really love that area around MSG...seems less safe. But you’re right about the reviews of that hotel...no one seems to mind the area and just great review after great review. Will ponder a bit and will post a final decision regardless.
  7. My apologies for not closing out my post for last year. I just added a summary closing statement. M=subway. We expect to be mobile and using the subway often. Amenities = Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible the 'Which hotel?' button from the BiddingHelper.com Easy View thinks it’s Park South Hotel
  8. Thank you so much for the NYC insight. We ended up booking an apartment rental in Chelsea area for about $180/nt. Ended up with a blizzard that week but we thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
  9. Looking to book trip to NY 7/17-21 with no strong location preferences other than safe, accessible to M, and walkable. 2 adults and 2 children under 12. Trying to keep nightly budget under $250 including taxes. Interested in your recommendations but am seeing several HOTWIRE deals (unfortunately not that Omni for $123) including on for a 4* in Gramercy/Union Sq for $190/nt. Says new to Hotwire, free internet, boutique, self serve laundry, fitness, business ctr, etc. Would love your thoughts/recommendations. Have occasionally used your site forever.
  10. Will be theatre hoping at least three nights and probably more during our stay. First timer to NYC so unclear about the distances and also leery about the weather in mid March
  11. Hmmm...I'd be a little disappointed if it was that Holiday Inn. I guess I should trust the 95% approval rating. I'd be willing to stay in other nearby areas under $200/nt. Looking for gods family value near theatres
  12. Sorry about the lack of detail: 1 room: 2 adults and 2 children (10&6) and I have included those criteria in the search FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, internet access Times Square South. Open to other locations but want to be near Theatre district. from what I can tell, this looks to be the Belvedere. thanks again for the help and guidance...love your site!

  14. I've got similar dates and location I'm curious about confirming. I'm looking at July 1-5th and show a 3.5 star on Capitol Hill for $119/nt with Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet Access. That seems to match Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill...correct?
  15. Tried 4* for same dates, but denied up to $155. Accepted 3* @$106/nt. Marriot Downtown Memphis. Hotwire was showing $109 for a 3* downtown, so probably saved $3.nt going with Priceline. Happy with the results.
  16. Need 3-4* hotel in downtown Memphis for 9/28-9/30. 4* denied @ $125. 3* denied up to 85. Could use some advice before bidding again.
  17. I am trying to plan a vacation for about 5 couples to the Riviera Maya area near Cancun. Wanting to travel early Jan '06, maybe 1/6/06 to 1/10/06. I don't see too many posts on 5*s there. Do you have suggestions for a bidding strategy? What rates have people been getting?
  18. Started at $55 and then $60 for 3 star in Napa and then added another area, but denied on both. Will try again in 72 hours. Hopefully, we won't be out on the street!
  19. I noticed that the Hyatt was sold out. Thanks for the confirmation. I am going to try and bid on Priceline and will probably shoot for 3* in Napa. Start out at $50/nt and work my way up.
  20. Good Afternoon, My wife and I are traveling with her family yo the wine country. The two of us scored a $55 Embassy suites stay on Priceline last time we were there in April. We loved the hotel, but want to try for a 4*. Everyone raves about the Hyatt in Santa Rosa, but have heard mixed messages about the 4*s in Napa. Any suggestions where I should start bidding and at what rate? Dates are 7/14-7/17 2 rooms. Thanks for the advice!
