  1. Amenities Listed were: Resort Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Beachfront Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Tennis Kitchenette Spa Children's Activity Program We called before booking and their concierge said 2 pools are now open and the final main pool by the beach will be open by the end of April. Some other construction may continue into May, punch work, painting, etc. They said it should be much quieter by May! :)
  2. Got it on first bid for $60/night for 3* hotels. Total with taxes/fees is $76.16. We wanted something close to light rail and we got it, so I guess we are happy! :P
  3. Amenities are just continental breakfast. This is The Promenade hotel, now branded under Best Western.
  4. $67 w/ taxes and fees; we are :) :) We tried on PRICELINE to get 2.5* for $47/night but it was a no-go. We are just staying for 1 night, so hey, it's all good!
  5. Had to book thru priceline.co.uk because my husband has a UK credit card and the address is in the UK. Bid GBP40 4 * in Universal area and it was rejected. Bid 32 pounds, expanding to 3* and it was accepted. Reviews of hotel are good; we are Happy. :)
  6. :o :) Yeah!! Got our hotel rooms!!! I saw the boards about the great deals on Le Meridian so I thought I'd give it a whirl and it paid off. :) 9/28 - 10/1 4* San Francisco - USE - Le Meridien $93 a night x 3 rooms = $837 $137.01 taxes Total $974.01 for 3 rooms for 3 nights I put in a bid of $93 a night on my first go, for USE only, because the going rate on their website for when I am going is way more as what everyone else is saying it is. It was accepted on my first bid. The going rate on their site is $469 a night ($534.89 with taxes). That would cost us for 3 rooms $4814.01. Instead we're paying $974.01. WAAAAHHHH-HOOOOO!!!! (Did I just say that?) :)
  7. Feel free to remove this from the board. I won't be able to try bidding again for a few weeks at least. Thank you for your assistance.
  8. Oh yes, any of those areas are fine. I've tried all 3 at this point, with a bid of $85 for 4* and 3* and did not win any.
  9. Not sure if this is a good price or not, but we're pretty happy with it, for it being peak harvest season in wine country. The hotel's website has the same rooms going for $150 a night. It's an easy drive to Napa, so everyone's a winner! :) I got this hotel by bidding on the Fairfield area of Napa. It's not really in Fairfield; it's directly across the street from Six Flags apparently. The reviews on TripAdvisor.com are positive.
  10. Sorry, yes, I meant Union Square. I tried for East. I tried for 4* and then 3* and had no luck, with bids of $70 and $74 on 2 different occasions.
  11. Need a couple o rooms in wine country mid-week for 2 nights, Sept 26-28. Looking to spend $100 or less per night. Any advice? Would love to stay in Calistoga but I don't see that Priceline offers rooms there. So anywhere near Napa will do. 3 or 4 star hotels. Thank you!
  12. Looking for 3 rooms in tourist area of San Fran - Fisherman's Wharf or Union Station. Would like 3 or 4 star hotel at $130 or less a night. Any suggestions for bidding would be grealty appreciated! I just tried $70 a night for both stars and was rejected. (as my mother always said, all they can do is tell you no!) Thanks!
