Hello I'm a newbie to this forum but I think this is an awesome place for people looking for deals. ANyways I want to know which area is better for a first timer to Maui? It seems from a little research that Lahaina is the more popular and touristy area vs. the Wailea area which seems to be more isolated. I just want somewhere next to a nice beach with some nitelife so I don't have to drive far distances after going somewhere to have a few drinks. Otherwise as far as the resorts go I can't really go wrong with using PL to bid for the resorts. I keep hearing bad stuff about The Whaler but I haven't heard what people are complaining about. Should I start about 140 ish and go from there? Thanks for the help!! Eric
