Was hoping to get a convention center area hotel, and thought 3* was a safe bet since the Sheraton is on the list as a 3*. This hotel isn't on the current list, perhaps it could be added. Didn't save much, just $6, but it's a concert night and it's across the street, so can't complain. $80 a night. Price on site was $136, saved $120 for two nights. Not too bad.

This could be a new 2* hotel for the downtown history area. I didn't see it in the current listings. This is the 3* in Uptown Charlotte that a lot of people have questioned which hotel it is, but it's not listed in the current list for Uptown Charlotte. Please add. Prepaid rate on website is $179, so can't beat $76. 1st try at $50 for 4* downtown Minneapolis was rejected. Added in another zone with no 4*, rebid $55 and accepted. $190 after taxes for the three nights vs. $302 on the website. 36% discount. Can't beat it.

$13 in fees brings it to $57. It was $59 and taxes on their website

Failed at $85 and $90, won at $95. Price online was $129, and I believe available on hotwire for $99. So a few dollar discount of just booking with hotwire.

Got the Hilton downtown by the Quest for $65. We booked it day of, so put an attractive amount out there because needed something for that night. Was surprised this hit on a 3.5*. Might need to update the Omaha Downtown list of hotels accordingly since this currently shows as a 3*. Perhaps it encompasses both star ratings?

Needed to get a room for the inlaws as well. Had a failed bid at $46 (thought I'd shave a few bucks, since I knew $50 was probably a good number), tried 24 hours later at $50 and it was accepted, so must be the bottom rate for those $80 rooms. Used the PRICELINE link as always. Thanks again.

The 3.5* was not an option for Cedar Rapids. Don't think that's an option anymore. The priceline median price was $101, but when I pull up the Crowne Plaza website, rooms are $80+ for that weekend, so something in the $40's might work too. Used the PRICELINE link, thanks a lot!

Wanted to have a better chance at a 4* (the Hyatt or the Westin) so went with a mid 60's bid on only 4*s in the Downtown area. Got the Hyatt on the first try. Room rates for the Hyatt that Saturday night are $129 + tax, so half off is pretty good. Noticed the Westin's Saturday night rate was $169 for that night, so not surprised I didn't get it (see earlier post, but got the Westin a few weeks back for $63 when online rate was $129 too).
