  1. Express deal was advertised as $55. Started bidding at $48, $49 and $50 before winning with $51. All the other 3.5 star hotels areas are over $88, so it was safe to keep upping the bid. only downside is no breakfast. Final Coast was $121.04 (2x$51 = $102 + $19.04 Taxes)
  2. PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal Price was $53. Bid accepted was $49. (Also Tried $48 with no success). Total was $116.94 (2 Nights @ $49 = $98 + $18.94 tax = $116.84)
  3. Express Deal is listed at $37. I knew this would be the Clarion Inn Stuart. Total for two nites is $82.18 (2x$34 = $68 + $14.18 Taxes) I started at 8% less, working my way to the predictable 5% less ($32, $33 and the winner - $34) adding additional regions so I could bid again instantly... (Port Saint Lucie, Vero Beach, Vero Beach (Costal). This reaffirms that you can reliability name your own price exactly 5% off of express deals.
  4. Priceline accepted a bid of $54/night for 3 nights at the "Four Points By Sheraton Fort Myers Airport" in Near the RSW airport near Ft. Myers. The total price of $190.20 was 61% off list. That beaks down to 3 nights at $54 for $162 Plus $28.20 in taxes for a total of $190.20. The Express Price was $59/night and would have been $208.98 total (3x$59 + 31.98 in taxes). I'd hoped that I might luck out and get one of the hotels that included breakfast (even though it wasn't guaranteed). Some of the potential hotels in the region for this price still offered them. It would have been a bonus that's worth about $20 given that it would save a meal for the wife and I. I started at $52, and worked up in $1 increments -- instantly rebidding by adding pricey zones that I knew wouldn't compete. You have to be careful there, as I accidentally added a beach zone which threatened to add a $25/night hotel tax to the base bid. If you accidentally add a zone with a regional $25/night hotel tax, you can really mess yourself over. Be sure to recheck your subtotal before submitting again!
  5. Used PRICELINE Name my own price for PIE Airport 2.5 Star for $48/night. PRICELINE EXPRESS Bid Price was $52. Total was $116.14 (48 * 2 = $96 + $20.14 in taxes and fees). 8/10 Hotel with Breakfast. STRATEGY: Started at $46. Resubmitted in $1 increments adding more beachfront "Hotel Zones" that I knew had no hotels under $150 so I could resubmit. There are no 2.5* duds in this area.
  6. Took Priceline Express Price of $55 - 5% = $52 bid (52% savings). Saved $3 over PRICELINE EXPRESS price. Add $12.39 taxes and total was $64.39. Got this on my first bid. There was only one 3 Star hotel with 8/10 rating, so it was a good bet since BetterBidding had a 5% off coupon for over $100. I just wanted one night I didn't qualify with the $100 minimum, but if the hotel was willing to grant a merchant a 5% coupon with restrictions, it makes since they'd accept the same from me without a coupon. Checked 2 weeks out, and prices go up $20 in June 2017. This might be a matter of good timing.
