I did stay at the Loews and it was a very nice hotel. They are doing some renovations now but it was not obtrusive to the visit. The people at the hotel were very friendly. It is a little remote but I would stay again. Thank you for your input. I don't know why the hotels changed as drastically, but they obviously did as I was using the Bidding Helper (which is great!). I changed my dates to the 18-20, so two nights. I used the link for HOTWIRE from this site and I tried to get the Pier South. But when I went through the payment process, there was and error and I went back to try it again and it was gone! I lucked out though because I was able to secure the Loews for $108 per night (plus the $26 resort fee). I am happy about that and looking forward to it. Hope it doesn't rain too hard. Thanks again!

I ended up using PRICELINE last night and found the same hotel. You were correct. It was the Hyatt Place and I am quite satisfied with the outcome, $229. I appreciate your assistance through this process.

I still haven't settled and have been monitoring the different options. And it looks like it was $331 before! $236 - 3* Marathon All Suite Hotel (FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Internet access) (100%) My guess here is Hyatt House in Marathon. I realize these may not be on your list and perhaps I am off base. I'd welcome your input and will let you how we make out.

Thank you and you're right! I checked back today and the rate appears to be $277 today in lieu of $271. However, I noticed a $15 off for HOTWIRE Hot Rate Hotels so that is positive. I did want to ask your thoughts on a few other hotels too from HOTWIRE. I tried to pull over the recommendations if there were any. Thank you for your assistance. I used the PRICELINE links provided and tried the following bids. I started with $250 (rejected), went to $260 on first rebid (rejected), went to $265 and was rejected again. I was bumping up against the $271 number so I didn't bid anymore. I think I will look at some 3.5 star hotels before going forward with the Casa Marina hotel on HOTWIRE. I am intrigued by the other one as it has 100% recommendation, but will look into the others first. I may need some help interpreting what's out there. Thanks for for your help.

We will be staying in Duck Key on the 9th and 10th. I'm not against staying elsewhere as it will all be new but my uneducated preference is Key West. Thanks for the tip on the green button. I have used priceline in the past and do understand the free rebidding. Looking for a 4* hotel in Key West. I'm not sure that it really matters which area, though something that is a little quieter is preferred. There will be two of us for a single night, 3/8/16. We are looking to spend up to $300 but if need be can stretch a little on that for the right deal. I'm looking for a highly rated hotel.
