What is the date for this stay? Did you mean 2007?

Phoenix/Scottsdale the 3* Radisson in the Scottsdale area has been closed for about a year and will not reopen. They are building condos on the grounds.

I would think that this info would have to be on Pricelines web site for you to read before you bid. I can't see how they could pull this out of the air now when it was not available at the time the bid was placed. Both the hotel and priceline have insurance for things like this and its time for them to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Theres no chance Priceline would let any of you of of this contract if you had paid too much or bid in the wrong zone. How many times have we seen people on this board try to get things fixed after bidding the wrong zone or dates and PL told them your SOL! Everyone needs to force the issue on this one and if need be take it to the courts. I don't think the court will have much sympathy for PL on this one. I would also start making copys of all those bookings before PL trys to delete them.

If you call the hotel in advance I would not tell them you have four people. If asked just say you don't want to sleep with your sister but will if need be. I have never had a problem with more then the stated number of people. But I don't check in with the whole tribe,I get them after I have keys :)

The Padres are in town this week and rates are high.

On Priceline its been coming up as resort.

Priceline and Hotwire don't allow oneway rentals. You have to return to the same location.

When bidding 2.5* PL also checks the 3* box because you can be upgraded to 3* if a 3* hotel is with in your bid range. After you get rejected for a 2.5* bid you can't try to bid any higher star rating in the same zone,PLs system will not let you.

I bid $40 and got a counter offer to add $10. I rebid $41 and got the Radisson. They have a little hand held device that plugs into the safe so they can open it if you forget the combo you set. I only know because I have a kid. :)

I have stayed at the Manchester Grand many times and never had anything stolen from my room. Try to get a room away from the front of the hotel as the trollys will keep you up all night. The self parking is $18 with in/out. Its a pain to find street parking in DT.

Most hotels around DL will have a lot of rooms with two beds. But theres a chance that you could be put into a room with one king bed. Its sounds like you would be better off using Hotwire.

Good luck on the up grade as Starwood does not have to give you any thing on PL stays. But it can't hurt to show your card at check-in. Hyatt on the other hand gives full benefits on all stays no matter how you book your room.

Did PL change their system? When I try to pickup at LAX and drop off at SNA it does not give me a option to bid for a car.

Is this a one way rental or round trip? PL and Hotwire don't offer one way rentals.

Call the rental company in the city of the rental and ask what kind of suvs they rent. Then you will know if you have a problem at all.
