Thanks for the quick reply. I still would prefer bidding on PRICELINE. I would like to stay near Navy Pier and park in the hotel parking or local, do you know how much is hotels parking. Also do the local lots allow over night parking. Also to stay near Navy peir which area or areas in the Priceline "map" I have to bid for. For the HOTWIRE option for $88/night was the parking included. If PRICELINE fails tonight I will go with HOTWIRE TX Ketan

Need help on whihc * hotel to bid on for Chicago downtown area near all the tourist attraction, specailly Navy peir. Travel date - 7/8-7/10 As it is downtown want to make sure that parking is included for what ever * hotel I get hopefully 3* and better. Tradewinds Island Grand 4* and Tradewinds Sandpiper 3* are right next to each other, plus if you stay at the Sandpiper 3* you can use all the amenities of the Island Grand. I got the Tradewinds Sandpiper 8/4/08 to 8/5/08 which is a 3* for $80+tax=$98+$25/day resort fee = $123/day.

Came back from vacation last week, I WAS able to use the 1 car upgrade coupon. Upgraded to Full size from standard, without any problem. I guess it depends on availablity and ofcourse the Rep at the counter. thanks.

For Los Angeles Airport After checking Hotwire for 8/10 to 8/17 ( 1 week) for a Full size it was $18.95 and standard&midsize was $17.95 Started bidding with priceline for fullsize $16 Fullzise- $16 - reject Fullsize-$17 - reject Premium - $17 - reject Standard - $16 - :) Got it! Gave me options to upgrade to Fullsize thru SUV/Van etc.. Fullsize was $4 more. so it would be more $1 more than hotwire above. Does anyone know if I could use a upgrade coupon at the rental counter. Using the savings barn link For 8/15-8/17, 1 room for a 4* in Long Beach started bidding at $65. Long Beach - $65 - reject (then started adding the rebid zones)(gave me an option to raise to +$17, did not do that) LB+ airport - $67 -reject LB+airport+san padro - $70 -reject LB+airport+san padro+ torrance/carson - $73 :) Accepted . Got : Hilton Long Beach And Exec. Meeting Center There was one catch, once I got the hotel I went to the Hotel website and the Self-park is $11/day. So my price would be $73+11=$84, still not bad for a 4* as the price on Hilton's website for those days are $199/day. Thanks for this website.

What I was thinking was to stay at del mar for 8/10 to 8/13 (see legopark and the beaches) and in downtown or coastal from 8/13 to 8/15 (see the Zoo and sea world). "I assume you are aware of the priceline policy of promising only one bed since you said you have kids" please explain, what happens when I show up with the Kids, do they reject the Priceline bid price and they charge me the standard ongoing rate or they just add few extra $ to the bid price. I am new on this forum and have read the FAQ's once. I need to book 2 rooms from 8/10 to 8/15 in San Diego and checked all the major websites like priceline, hotwire, Expedia and Travelocity"]Travelocity and all are over $150 per night then I finally found out this website, now I need to know what would be the best strategy to get a good hotel in a nice area for under $100 including tax. I would like to stick with priceline for a 3* and up hotels. Most important for me is that the hotels have to close to major attractions OR beaches (zoo, sea world, lego park) etc as I am traveling with the kids. I am not familiar with any of the zones mentioned on Priceline in the SD area, so don't know what to pick. I picked downtown and $60, $65 and $70 all three were rejected. Just trying to save some bucks on hotels which I will be spending in the zoo,sea world etc... anyway. A step by step help of what zones to pick first would really help. Thanks in Advance.
