  1. Thanks -- looked again late last night and found a 3.5* in Monterey for $99 so we went with that. It turned out to be the Casa Munras Amenities were: Near Beach Pool Restaurant Internet Tennis Used the SavingsBarn.com link to start the purchase. Thanks!
  2. I'm just saying that the resort also listed in the Hotwire results has to be the Marina Dunes (only resort in Marina) and the only other 3* (according to Expedia) I see is the Ramada on Reservation Rd. Today however, Travelocity is showing the Holiday Inn Express as a 3* and is $129, so that may make sense too. In any case, if anyone has ideas on what this 3* may be, it is appreciated!
  3. Here's a weird one -- Hotwire is showing me a 3-star hotel in Marina (searching for Monterey, CA) with: free breakfast, laundry, and internet. It's showing me a price $89 for 1/14/08-1/15/08. The odd thing is that the listing below it shows a resort, so I assume it is the Marina Dunes Resort (the only one in this area according to Expedia and Travelocity) so I can only guess this is the Ramada, but I can go through Expedia and get it for $80 -- cheaper than Hotwire! Can this be right?
  4. Thanks. We ended up splitting our stay at got the Westin Market St for $99 on Priceline for 1/12 - 1/14. Now searching for the rest of the trip...
  5. Thanks for the info. We still haven't booked a hotel for this trip as it is still some time away. Our dates have changed a bit and now I'm seeing a 3.5* in Union Square West and a 3.5* in USE as follows: Travel Dates: 1/13/08 - 1/17/08 USW: - $143 Boutique Restaurant Business Center Internet USE: - $156 Boutique Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Internet These are a little more than I wanted to spend, but if they are good hotels, I might go ahead. That's a busy week there because of MacWorld, so I'm a little hesitant to wait too long. I did book a refundable hotel already just in case. Any help identifying these is appreciated!
  6. Hello -- need some help trying to identify a 3* in San Francsico - Japantown / Civic Center North, with the following amenities: Fitness Center Restuarant Business Center Internet and Pool The pool is throwing me off as the only 3* I see in that region is the Opal. I checked their site and they don't have a pool. Stay dates are 1/13/08 - 1/15/08. Thanks for any help!
  7. Thx again for the info. Went ahead with the 3.5* using the savingsbarn.com link -- it was the Novotel Toronto Center.
  8. Thanks for the info. Neither of these hotels is particularly in a great location for the things we want to do and both are a 15 minute walk to the subway. If we wait a week or two will the hotels change even though our dates will stay the same?
  9. Dates are now firm -- Oct. 1 to Oct. 5 -- looking in downtown Toronto only. Today it's pulling the following: 4* Customer Favorite Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Tennis Nearby Spa - $86 / night 3.5* Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center High-Speed Internet Spa - $87 / night We may actually be more interested in the 3.5* as they seem to have better locations around town for nightlife, etc. Any help identifying these is appreciated.
  10. Hello -- I've been checking Hotwire for a couple days for a trip to Toronto for Oct. 1 - 5 and regularly see the following 4* hotel: Restaurant Pool Fitness Center Spa Services Business Center $86 (today) -- ranges up to $92 I've seen another 4* a couple times that's a customer favorite and a little more expensive (I'm assuming the Sheraton) but haven't identified this one yet. Thx for any help! PL
