Very pleased with this win. We wanted to be on the Riverwalk, and this fits the bill. It is highly rated on tripadvisor and shows a published rate of $259.

  3. Heading to Legoland for a 3 day weekend. Tried bidding north coastal but room rates are outrageous this time of year, so I took a chance on the Sorrento Mesa area as it is not too far away and I liked all of the hotel concepts in the 3* category. Got $75 on my first try. Hotel website shows rate of $143 so I'm happy.

Didn't see Hyatt Summerfield on your list, so did an internet search and it appears this property was just bought from Woodfin a few months ago, so you'll want to change the name. I noticed the Inns of America under San Diego North County Coastal also became a Hyatt Summerfield, so you'll want to update that as well.

Thanks as always. I love this site, and am always thrilled to report my wins in hopes that I can help others as I have been helped many times!!

  4. Just wanted share this win. We've stayed at Renaissance properties before and really like them. This one is easy to bid on because it is the only 4* in the area.

I started at $65 then added areas and bid $68, $71, $75, and $77. They came back and said I could add $22 and get it for $99. I did not.

Waited a day and bid $80, and got the win. I'm happy with the price... a Renaissance for $101 including taxes and fees. Good deal!

    Thanks as always...

  5. Just booked a room for 1 night Sunday, Oct 7.

I requested 3* Downtown Indianapolis and based on what I saw on the boards, I was hoping for the Crowne Plaza at Union Station. My young boys would love the train memorabilia.

I bid $42 and received a "try again immediately" for $12 more. I feel that $54 a fair price for a 3* DT hotel, so I did and rec'd the Sheraton on the Circle.

Just thought I'd share because I have rec'd so much good info here.

    Thanks!

  6. For your reference:

I tried 4* Broomfield for 5/24-5/27 at $65. It came back and said I could try again immediately at $79. I did and got the Renaissance(It looks very nice).

Then a week later I tried to get my Dad in the same hotel as us. I tried 4* Broomfield same dates at $75 and got Renaissance again.

Dad decided he wanted to add a night. Tried to do it through priceline, but said hotel wasn't available for that rate on 5/23.

So, I went back and tried 4* Broomfiled for 5/23 at $79 and got the Westin. So, Dad has to move hotels. He wasn't too upset thought because they both look super nice. Love this site.

Just wanted to help out because I have received lots of help.
