  1. Absolutely CHOICE hotel - the nicest we stayed in for the 3 weeks we travelled. If anything takes you to Sacramento make a bee-line for this hotel...
  2. Thanks for the tips guys. With an infant in tow we may have to forego the Drag Queen Bingo (though maybe if we find a sitter in the hotel it would make for a unique night?!). I suppose I can live with solid 4 star experience, though I was hoping for more as it was an anniversary surprise for my wife. Amenities listed as Restaurants, Swimming Pool, Fitness Centre and High Speed Internet. I'm told they're famous for their complimentary PB&J sandwiches each evening - little Chuckles will eat them out of house and home! Sweet revenge! Cheers all - must get month end out of the way here at work so I can get out on time for my flights...
  3. I knew I couldn't win every time on Hotwire. Pavillon rated as 5 star? Certainly nowhere else. I do hope I'm surprised when I get there - anyone know New Orleans? Did I make a mistake cancelling my Monteleone booking to get this? I'll report back on my return in December - hopefully with a smile!
  4. That's the one - still listing at the same price today as well. 4 more working days before I get on my Qantas jetplane and start my hols....
  5. It was indeed Downtown Sacramento and a Customer Favourite and the amenities were as follows: Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Centre Business Centre Golf Course Nearby
  6. As promised in my first post, my pleasing win on Hotwire for a hotel in the vicinity of LAX for our last night in the US before returning home to the Great Southern Land. With the assistance of this site I guessed right before placing my bid so certainly no disappointments here! Cheers Pav
  7. Your site helped greatly in guessing my resultant hotels through Hotwire so way of thank you I thought I'd better post confirmatory details for future users. With only 2 4 star hotels in the Sacremento city area it wasn't too hard to guess which I'd end up with when I passed on a 4 star option at US$79 and the following day the 4.5* option at US$85 came up. With Expedia listing at over US$200 per night for either I jumped readily in. I'll do another post for my other win to list it with it's own header for those searching but the details are as below: LAX and Vicinity 27/11 4* Westin Los Angeles Airport US$68 plus taxes/charges (again I guessed right after studying your site!). Cheers Pav South Australia
