  1. I ended up booking The Shelter Hotel for $139 + tax. Thank you very much for all the help
  2. What about bidding in West Hollywood for a 3* knowing that the Ramada is at 209. What can I get it for?
  3. Yes I understand that I don't pick and choose but I was trying to see what the star rating and the name of the hotels were. I do like the tilt hotel, seems pretty nice and cheap at 161.
  4. Well I have never been to the Grove so I actually don't know where it is but I did a zipcode search on Maps and Hotels.com and saw the following. I know the Grove is in the Fairfax district and I thought it was in Mid-Wilshire area. These hotels look pretty nice. 2.5* Wilshire Crest Hotel Los Angeles $169 More info 3* Ramada Plaza West Hollywood Hotel And Suites $209 More info 3* Oxford Palace Hotel $154 More info 4* Hollywood Apartments $197 More info 3* Jj Grand Hotel $140 More info 2.5* Tilt Hotel, An Ascend Hotel Collection Member $190 More info However, I don't want to pay those prices. I went to the Tilt Hotel website and their advance rate is $160 which seems pretty good in budget.
  5. OK sure I can bid on Priceline. Looking at the hotel lists for Priceline, I like the following and would like to bid at $150 (excluding taxes and fees): I want to be somewhat close to the Grove in LA and Hollywood so are these two areas the best for that? 3.5* Hollywood area looks like the moment hotel? 4* Hollywood area 3* Miracle Mile area We can change this topic to be Hollywood area hotel then if you want. Thanks,
  6. I was thinking of taking the Hot.wire route unless I could get a cheaper hotel on Price.line. Was looking yesterday on Hotwire at 4* Mid-Wilshire USC and Downtown LA area for around $150 (excluding taxes). I'm looking for either 4* Mid-Wilshire/USC, Downtown LA, Hollywood for around $150 (excluding taxes and fees). Is the Mid-Wilshire USC hotel called the line hotel? If that is the case, I am not a fan of the concrete walls. Do you know what I will get?
  7. Plans changed, don't think I am bidding for a Santa Barbara hotel cause its too much. I want to stay somewhere in the Los Angeles area Thanks for the advice.
  8. The 3* was presidio motel. I would be willing to purchase at 40-50% off
  9. I saw some rates at MAPS and HOTELS.com for a 3* at 289 and 2* was 270-280. Can I score a deal on any of these hotels on Priceline? What is a recommended bid price for both?
  10. No I'm not sure of an event taking place during this date but I could travel within the area for around $150?
  11. I could not see all the information for this trip because it was so long ago.
  12. Trump Tower at $120/night Amenities Fitness center Free Internet Free parking Pet friendly Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Spa services
  13. OK just added my update to the other thread. Can you help with a bid on this one?
  14. Hi I want to get a hotel for 1 night on August 15 in the Santa Barbara area #4. My max budget would be about $150 and would like to get a 3 or 3.5 star hotel. What is the recommended bid? Thanks,
  15. Well since you mentioned priceline's rule about double occupancy, I will have to use hotwire. I was looking for at least a 4 star on hotwire so I might wait tomorrow to see if a cancellation comes up for around the $120 price again...
  16. Oh I see, I would probably want 2 beds so just did a search using the links on this site for HOTWIRE with 4 adults and found 123/nt, 4 star hotel with 75% recommend. Most likely that is Treasure Island right? Is there a 10% off deal coupon on here also? Update: I tried selecting it but seems like it just sold out cause it said "Itinerary not available" Thanks again for the helpful tips,
  17. Looking at the priceline las vegas hotel list, I do like the hotel options of the 4* for Strip South so I think we could focus on those. There would be 3 people staying in the room. Thanks for your help,
  18. Budget is around $100-120/nt before tax/fee's. Yes I would be OK with trump towers. How much should I start the bid? Also what are my options for 2 beds?
  19. Hi All, I am looking for a 5-star in the Las Vegas Strip South or North, my dates are in 9/27 - out 9/29. I see Express Deals shows 168/nt for Las Vegas Strip North and $243/nt for Las Vegas Strip South. I would also like to note that the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding convention is going on this weekend. Can you guys give me advice on how to bid to get a better deal?
