  1. I am very disappointed in this win. The location of this hotel is not great. I also found it on a non-opaque site for the same dates for $8 less with only tax and no fee. Amenities are free parking, free internet, internet access, restaurant, business center. Rate per night $72.00 Nights 3 Rooms ( 1 adult ) 1 Subtotal $216.00 - Tax recovery charges + fees $41.07 = $257.07.
  2. I finally went ahead and purchased this through the Bidding.Helper link. I don't see the Holiday Inn listed anywhere else as a 4 1/2 star property. I'm happy enough, but not thrilled. From reading the reviews, the location is great.
  3. 4.5* Mayfair-Soho-Picadilly Area March 4-8. $159/nite. Internet access, business center, restaurant. 75% recommended. Any suggestions, and should I buy so far in advance? Thanks for any assistance.
  4. Mar 4-8, 2015. $142/nt. Mayfair-SoHo Area of London. Listed amenities are Pets Allowed, Condo, Free Internet & Business Center.
  5. I used the Better Bidding HOTWIRE Quick Quote Link for this hotel. It was listed as a condo with 85% positive reviews. Amenities are: Free Parking, Free Internet, Self-Serve Laundry, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Airport Shuttle, Suites, Business Center. I also used the $10 THANKS10 Promotion - so I think this was a very good deal. $122.32 paid with tax and fees.
  6. The lowest available rate is $93, so I guess this is ok - but I would have been happier with the Holiday Inn Express (either one) that I expected. Reviews vary for this hotel.
  7. This was the exact hotel I wanted and expected I got it on my first bid of $43.00. The rate on the Holiday Inn website is $113. Very pleased and I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link for this win.
  8. Thanks for this information. That was the hotel that I wanted. Booked it (through the HOTWIRE link on the Better Bidding website) and got it for $112/night from 2/12-2/16.
  9. That obviously isn't the case - I just bid $120 and was offered to rebid at $140. I'll wait a day and try $130.
  10. My back up booking is refundable. I've not been adding zones, but just re-bidding every few days. How high should I go for a 4* and any suggestions for a 3*?
  11. Started out with bids of $90 for 4* St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse trying for the Marriott Rive Gauche. Have gone up to $115. All rejected with no counter offers. What is really annoying, rarely does it allow me to add areas, but opens up the Priceline select your hotel page as an alternative. I have the Hotel Jules for $452 (including vat) for those 3 nights as a back up. Don't know if I should wait for a while or be happy with what I have (which I'm not thrilled). Thanks for any suggestions. Bruce P.S. As always I used the Betterbidding/PRICELINE link for my bidding.
  12. Using the Better Bidding PRICELINE link, I started with a $40 bid for Sacramento I-80/Arden Area, 4/14/2010-4/18/2010, 3*. It was rejected but offered a free re-bid at $52. I then re-bid $45 using the University Area which was also rejected. I added West Sacramento and went up to $48 and it was accepted at the Radisson. I would have preferred the Doubletree, but this will do. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $48.00 (USD) Average Cost Booking At Radisson.com was ~$92. Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 4 Room Subtotal: $192.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $36.28 (USD) Total Room Cost: $228.28 (USD)
  13. I priced that hotel on its website. It was only $69, so I don't think this is a really good deal. I currently have a points room at Sheraton and will keep that. Thanks for your help.
  14. Central Waikiki Hotel - 3* Boutique, Beach, Pool, Breakfast, Laundry, Internet. $59/night (10-23 thru 10/26). Any ideas? Suggestions on Priceline. It's a business trip so I really just want a convenient, nice place. Thanks for your help.
  15. 1/8/2010-1/10/2010. 3* Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Rancho Mirage. $59/nt = $118.00 + tax/fees 19.04 = 137.04. Amenities: Breakfast, Fitness Room, Swimming Pool, Laundry, Internet Access. The best rate I could find on the internet was $149 (per nite), so I am very pleased.
  16. Red Lion Sea-Tax Accepted first bid of $40 for 8/14/09-1 night only Tax and Fee of $13.12. About a 50% Savings. As always, used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link for this purchase.

  19. This is the Doubletree-Arden/Cal Expo. The amenities are now listed (same as above): 3* - Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet Access.
  20. I went ahead and booked this and to my PLEASANT surprise, it is the Doubletree Sacrament/Cal Expo. My correct dates are April 8 - 12. I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children so I'll be sure to have 2 beds. The rate was $48. As always, I used the HOTWIRE link to book this reservation. Thanks for your help.
  21. I just did the same thing and couldn't find any tripadvisor information - it should show on the bottom of the area map, correct?
  22. 3* - Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet Access. $48 for 4 nts (Apr 15-19). Any ideas? I thought perhaps the Radisson? Thanks for your help. (As I always do, I will book using the HOTWIRE Link on this site).
  23. 2/26-3/2 - $66.00 - North Scottsdale, AZ Amenities Include: Suite, Breakfast, Fitness, Swimming Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, Internet. Any ideas? I figured the Springhill Suites - but this lists a restaurant. Thanks for your assistance.
  24. First bid (on 2/15) 3.5* for Del Mar, CA - $50 - rejected. Re-Bid 3* for Del Mar, CA - $50 - accepted. Hotel is Doubletree Del Mar. $121.50 is the lowest rate on the Doubletree Website. As always, I used the Betterbidding PRICELINE Link to make this bid.
