  1. Thanks, we decided to use our Marriott Points and stay at one of their properties closer to the city.
  2. Hi, I am looking for a hotel in London. Hotwire shows me a 4* in Docklands with a tripadvisor rating of 4.5. The amenities are: Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services From the tripadvisor rating I thought it would be Hilton London Canary Wharf, however they only over free wifi in public areas. Any ideas what that hotel could be? Thanks a lot
  3. No problem! The new zone seems to be a big improvement when bidding for 5* hotels and will probably help a lot of bidders.
  4. There are two zones now. One is called Las Vegas Strip North and the other Strip Vicinity North. Strip Vincity Nort is the area around the Fashion Show Mall and should include the Trump. The next 5* bookings will probably show if the Trump got it's own zone.
  5. I haven't seen that area before. Seems to be the area where the Trump is located. If i am correct there wouldn't be any risk in getting the Trump anymore when bidding for a 5* in the Strip North Area.
  6. Got the Best Western Victorian Inn for $55 on my first try. HOTWIRE showed it for $79, price on their homepage is $399. Used the PRICELINE link for my purchase.
  7. This is for 2011, don't know why i wrote 2010 and the purchase was made through your PRICELINE link.
  8. Was hoping for the Sheraton as it was available through Hotwire. But for the price it's more than ok.
  9. It seems i made the right decision to book as the price has gone up to $212 on HOTWIRE. I will arrive 2 or 3 nights earlier to Vegas. I would rather stay more towards the center of the Strip, but considering most hotels now charge a resort fee a MGM promotion $62 (refundable) with 2 Complimentary buffets during stay, 2 complimentary cocktails at the 4 main bars, 2 Complimentary admissions to Studio 54 or Tabu seems to be an ok deal and i wouldn't have to change rooms during my stay. Hotwire has the Trump listed for $87, so the nights before NYE seem to be pretty cheap. Should i go for the MGM offer or will the prices drop that much so it's not necessary to have a backup? Thanks
  10. The amenties were: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services
  11. 12/30 - 1/1 4* South Strip MGM $74 Seems to be a good deal considering NYE. MGM sells the room for $214.99 per night. Tried PRICELINE up to $72 but only got a counteroffer for $144 and then used your HOTWIRE link to book the room.
  12. The Hilton rate is not refundable. I will keep the Marriott Hutchinson reservation as a backup. I will probably wait a month or so. Thanks for the help so far!
  13. I bid up to $58 on PRICELINE for a 3* (through your link), but i was unsucsessful. I think i am going to wait right now, as i have plenty of time. The Hilton Rialto is available on the Hilton homepage for $89, so there is no need to rush.
  14. I think i will try to bid on PRICELINE through your link when the 24 h are over. I think i will try to bid on PRICELINE when my 24h are over on 3*, but not going higher as $62. If i am not sucessful i will try 2,5*. Even a price of $62 would be $35 cheaper then the Crowne plaza and their beach doesn't look very promising with all the stones in the water. Is it likely the new Residence Inn might come up on PRICELINE? They sell it on their regular homepage and it looks very nice.
  15. If i choose more than 2 adults also the crowne plaza at the beach shows up for $99. Right now i am booked into the Marriott Hutchinson Island for 110$ + tax including breakfast, but the rate is refundable. I will stay the night before in Clearwater and want to drive to the east coast and visit the KSC in Cape Canaveral, but i think it might be a too long day if i will stay at the Marriott, so i am looking for some place to stay nearer to KSC. The next day i have to drive to Miami to catch a plane at 9 pm. I already bid yesterday for 2.5* in melbourne on PRICELINE and was offered at a bid of $48 to increase my bid to $62 and get a hotel room. I guess bidding opn priceline for the crowne plaza won't work on priceline as it is in the same area like the Hilton Rialto which is about $50 cheaper per night when i compare the rack rates.
  16. I still see a 2.5* in Melbourne, but it has no pool listed like yesterday, for $44. But there is no pool listed like yesterday.
  17. Hi, i saw this 2.5* property on HOTWIRE and couldn't find it in your list. The dates are 10/4-10/5 and the amenities are Fitness, Pool and Laundry. Could it be the Courtyard Melbourne? Thanks a lot
  18. thereuare, you seem to have a lot of knowledge of that area. Is the schedule time of 30 minutes bus ride realistic? As it seems to take about 20 minutes to get from jersey city to midtown, there doesn't seem to be a big difference to me regarding the travel time. Is it just the more frequent connection that makes jersey city more attractive, or is it something else?
  19. If you are still considering Elizabeth and the Country Inn & Suites. They are located right next to Elizabeth Garden Mall which has 2 direct bus lines to manhattan, the 111 and 115. According to their schedule the bus takes shortly over 30 minutes and costs about 5$. I am also thinking aboput that option for my next stay in manhattan as the prices are much lower compared to manhattan and a 30 minute bus ride would be ok for me. From what i heard it takes 20 minutes to get from Jersey City to midtown manhattan, so this shouldn't be a big difference.
  20. I just did a little research on tripadvisor. There aren't many hotels in the central park area with a rating of 3.5 on more than 220 oppinions. The rate is also the same as quaoted on hotwire. It could be On the Ave hotel, which looks nice, but the location is too far up.
  21. I tried my luck with priceline up to 130$ without any luck. Any midtown zone is acceptable. Right now i don't want to bid much more than my 130. Maybe it's still too early.
  22. The rates for the dates rose in the past weeks. The Empire hotel seemed nice to me because it just reopened. MTE, MTW or MTS would be fine for me, but i don't want to stay neither at the Hudson nor the Paramount. 4* would be preffered.
  23. Hi, i found this 3.5* property for a stay from 1/1/08-1/5/08 in the central park area for 163$ Hotel Amenities are Boutique Hotel, Business Center, Fitness Center and High Speed Internet Access. According to the hotel list there is only the 4* Hotel Empire which could match this property. Could this be it? I couldn't find anythin on tripadvisor about the empire hotel. Thanks for your help
  24. If it was the crowne plaza i would have taken it. I don't want to have such a small room as the hudson offers. I think i'll wait for the price to go down as i have plenty of time left.
  25. I just saw on Expedia the paramount offers petite rooms for 119$ for one person. So i guess it's the paramount, which i am not keen on wining!
